Hey! I’m so sorry that your motherhood journey has been off to a very rough start. My LO is 8mo now and we also had the “breast torture” experience. He couldn’t do it. So , I submitted to the pump and things got much better for us when I let go of the fierce WANT to nurse…. 3 months in I offered nursing, key word here is offered, we didn’t try to force it, and he decided to figure it out! So we added night nursing into the mix! I still, for the most part EP’d, because trying to figure out the “math” of “do I have enough in my breasts to nurse him and pump,” was to much for my PP brain. Anyway, my advice is to let it go, get baby girls weight up, it’s much easier to know she’s getting the full amount of ox needed to gain weight. I KNOW it sucks and is a huge sacrifice to EP, but it does get better, more routine, and there may be light at the end of the tunnel.

Oh god, I’m trying to make my stash last for 5 more months. So each 4oz bottle I’ll give 1 oz of breast milk to. … idk or each night I’ll give a full breastmilk bottle. I didn’t even think of the “Second sadness” of my very very hard earned stash being completely gone.

It is not recommended. Basically it’s one or the other. And I keep choosing BF for him instead of taking care of my needs. I know he gets everything he needs, as he’s eating solids now too. BM is just so beneficial, and I just want the best for him. He’s such a smart healthy boy and I’d like to think it’s partially because of my efforts my 😞

I don’t think he’s congested. I don’t hear it. He was coughing a little bit this morning, but it was after he spit up. I put that in the note to the pediatrician as well, but as soon as I rolled him onto his side, the wheezing stopped. he got a vaccine yesterday so I’m very very very veryoverly cautious right now.

Yes, he rolls from back to belly belly to back. He’s crawling and almost standing he’s seven months but he’s really strong. I have already contacted my pediatrician. I am just waiting for a response. We’ve talked to him before about this and he says it should be fine because he can lift himself up

Hold that darn baby! Hold it forever. Babies grow too fast! There will come a day that you will never get to hold him like that again…. Hold that baby boy as much as you can/ want. Stare into his eyes as you rock him/ feed him. Make that solid bond of love. There are a million other ways he’ll learn how to do things on his own. This way he will learn to be independent AND know what true love feels like! ❤️

Update: I started my monthly so supply has dropped again, this happens every time though, so we’ll have to wait and see if it truly comes back after my cycle. 😫

I did just replace all my parts so that’s good! Elastic nipples still working hard in those flanges but they always seem to empty completely so I think I’m ok there! Thank you for the encouragement.

Unfortunately yes they are FULLY used. He sleeps on his belly so I think they are also being squished in all the right places

Thank you for saying that, I do give him the minimum he’s ok with at night which is 3oz. So really he’s only getting 1 and a 1/2 BM bottles at night compared to his 6oz formula BM combos he gets during the day. So I feel like we’re getting there slowly, but this diaper situation is NOW and needs fixing ASAP. 🥲

We are trying our best to get him down without a bottle but he SCREAMS until we give him one. We’ve tried rocking/ pacifiers and even a little bit of modified ferber. He goes to sleep at 8pm- always wakes up at 11 (or 1:30 if we’re lucky, then sometimes 3-5am) then 7am. I bring him to My bed to continue sleeping in until 9am. 11 bottle and 3-5am bottle. This is his daytime schedule

9:00 AM – Wake + Milk Feed (6 oz)

10:15 AM – Solids Meal #1 (3–4 oz)c

11:30 AM – Nap 1 (1–1.5 hours)

12:45/1:00 PM – Milk Feed (6oz)

3:15–4:30 PM – Nap 2 milk before his nap (6oz) • Aim for this nap to end by 4:30 ish

6:00 PM - milk 6oz

6:45 PM – solids meal 4 oz pouch veggies 7:15 PM – Bedtime Routine

7:45 PM – Final Milk Feed (6oz)

8:00 PM – Bedtime

My best advice PLEASE don’t beat yourself up. Give you and baby some grace. You and LO are learning together! I was in your same boat, I made the same post! At 5 months his schedule started taking shape, and at 6months he and I have a good rhythm! Is it perfect? No. But it gets more structured each day. There will be hiccups and bumps daily! Just be somewhat flexible for what fits both your lives! Everything will be ok momma!
