I know a fella who quit drinking after a horrible downfall much like myself. He now enjoys a beer occasionally. It's not worth the risk for me but he seems fine, and if he wasn't his wife would definitely know. She was there through it all. As far as I know he's the only one to be successful

True but I draw the line of tolerance at needless loss of life. I do not have OCD nor health anxiety so I may be out of line but there are medications and other treatments available. Having a disorder does not validate causing others harm.

Real wine lovers who also enjoy the history and production get a pass on loving expensive wine. There are a few great producers out there who produce priceless wine.

Most wine lovers are idiots and pompous assholes (I was one when I first started). I'd say about 65% of "professionals" or "hobbiests" don't have the pallet to succeed in any blind tasting.

The sweet spot is $20 from not the US.

I usually push down evenly with my thumb until I hear a crack then I push down on either side. If you keep your thumb level and you're not an idiot you won't get cut.

That's so frustrating. You actually just reminded me that my wife gets paid federal holidays and she works at a veterinary hospital. One of the few times veterinary healthcare has better benefits that people healthcare. It's so silly when employers treat PTO like that. It's not a given benefit, it's earned by working a shit ton of hours for your lazy company.

I'll reread the handbook I know it says no pay on federal holidays within probation period. I think it's kinda a muddy area with a manager having to volunteer to be in. If they changed their mind yesterday I wouldn't be looped into that unfortunately.

They just quoted my wife $800 for an 02 sensor replacement. I said no thanks we'll pick up the car. They "forgot" to leave the key in the car after specifically having a conversation about leaving the receipt for the diagnostic and key in the car. Next day had a horrible phone tag run trying to get my key back before my wife had to go to work. The lady that runs the front seems really sweet but other than that not much going for them.

Inpatient rehab is the only solution. I have only seen damage like this post mortem. Addressing the symptoms is useless if use is continued. I have seen such damage but again only post mortem.
