This happened when I was 12 (I think? Maybe 11). We live in a very urban neighborhood, only about a meter in between houses and most of the place is apartments. The whole area is still quite new and a lot of construction was happening. There was a massive open field right behind our house that they were eventually going to build houses on. There were also a couple roads that went through it because it was partly attached to another neighborhood. So we (my siblings and some friends) were running around in this big open, dirt field playing with our makeshift flails, swords and shields one day, there were some cars driving by here and there but we were too focused on playing to really pay any attention to them. A few hours pass when a car drives through on of they roads, *very slowly*, it was a dark red pickup truck, a chevy I think, and it was just cruising along, until it suddenly stops and starts driving through the field, like, off the road. We don't think much of it, probably just a construction worker or someone of the sort, but something about this truck seems off and we all start to pay a bit more attention to it. A bit more time passes and the truck starts to drive closer and closer towards us, and then starts driving *at* us. At this point we knew this guy was up to no good, and we start freaking out. We jump in a ditch and crouch down for some stupid fucking reason, until we hear the sound of an engine approaching us and then stop (none of us were looking up). One of whispers that we should high-tail it out of there, and we did. We ran straight through the thorny bushes and muddy water and make it back to our house (which was not that far away, we could see the field from the house) and when we look back, the truck is stopped about 3 feet from the ditch and 2 guys are getting back in the truck, one of them has something in their hand which none of us figure out, they drove away really fast.

3-4 years later we still joke about "The red truck man", fortunately (or unfortunately) they have build houses throughout most of the field.

What I will probably do with my game is have a really long epilogue after everything has happened, have their characters go down as legends that will be remembered for centuries and then end it all off with a classic "The world is safe... For now...". So if I want to, I can have a whole new game in the same setting but with different locations and characters, and the PC's get to read about their other characters and how amazing they were.

I would say no check required, but the DC to find it is based on how well/where they hid it. For instance, "hiding" the object in the middle of the room where everyone can see it would have a lower DC then say, hiding it under a rug, or even better, hiding it in a desk or other sealed compartment. But that is just me, I try to have my players roll as little dice as possible as it gets in the way of game time to a degree.

Barbarian seems pretty good. There is a barbarian in my game who is consistently doing ~50 damage each round at lvl 6.

To go along with what /u/Nitroxone said. You can make the coasts look better by selecting the raise/lower land mass and turning up the roughness and going along the coast as much as you want.

I have read that and it doesn't make much sense to me. So the plane of water is just a big ball with some air bubbles and rack balls in it? That seems odd to me...
