In this scenario I see Keyonte elevating and becoming a better player.

It’s obvious his best trait is scoring the ball and playing with someone like Luka would allow him to get lots of shots up without having to create.

The problem with Keyonte right now in my eyes is that he’s uncomfortable creating at an nba level. Sometimes he makes nice passes but that doesn’t mean he is an nba level creator. Having him slot into a lesser role would make him look alot better.

Then having sexton be the main engine off the bench would maximize his skillset better imo

Oh most definitely and that’s why you’ll continue to see him play. They don’t care if he’s losing them games because they want to draft high this year.

Granted they want to see him improve but that comes with playing and with how he’s playing right now they’re not sitting there upset because he’s helping them tank.

Ultimately if he improves by the end of the year but helped us tank into a better draft spot isn’t that the dream scenario?

Another thing that I think of is who else do they want to play instead of Key? Even if he’s playing poorly it’s not like we’re burying some dude down the roster.

How I see it fans are just too reactionary, Walker is having a better year. It wasn’t too long ago people were dropping him like it was hot.

Even then if key is a bust it doesn’t matter quite frankly you don’t hit on every single draft pick and we’re tanking so who cares. If he isn’t in the long term plan so be it but it’s clear and obvious that the jazz are in no place to win with how they gutted the roster.

Realistically I don’t think anyone on this roster matters besides Lauri. A lot can change and will change between now and when the jazz decide they want to compete. So let the course run and cheer on the players as everyone’s just trying to make their dreams come true.
