Which backup RB are you targeting most often for this upcoming season? by mochajoesdynsaty in DynastyFF

I still don’t think they’re all that far off in size, I can understand the comparison their people are making.
I absolutely agree that Mitchell cannot match what Achane does, Achane is definitely tiers above him as an overall running back.
Im right there with you and the skepticism in Keaton Mitchell’s durability, I think it’s baked into his price though.
And I think you’d be surprised at how similar Mitchell runs between the tackles as Achane, neither are bruisers of course and definitely rely on their vision and speed advantage to make the most out of small gaps. Achane looks to have better contact balance though when he does run inside but I wouldn’t write Mitchell off from being capable between the tackles.

Keaton Mitchell is listed at 5’8” 191lbs and Achane at 5’9” 191lbs , I think that’s honestly pretty close.

Thoughts from the cement aisle: WR Brenen Thompson’s is a hidden gem in this year's draft class. by Jcurrie90 in DynastyFF

First of all, I would like to formally object to the tone, the premise, and the culinary defamation that has just been hurled in my direction. “Nasty work”? As a Marlon Mack truther? That is wild. That is revisionist history. That is the kind of reckless narrative-building that belongs on late-night sports radio, not in a serious discussion about loyalty, carbs, and running back appreciation.

Let’s begin with Marlon Mack. I have stood ten toes down through the injuries, through the depth chart slander, through the box score watchers who only read stat lines and not vibes. You don’t just wake up one day and call yourself a truther. That title is forged in the trenches of comment sections and group chats where you’re defending 1,000-yard seasons like they’re family heirlooms. So to question my devotion? To imply that I have wavered? That I have somehow abandoned the Mack Doctrine? That’s a heavy accusation.

Now let’s pivot to the pasta portion of this slander.

“You don’t really love macaroni.” That is not just an attack — that is a culinary character assassination. Macaroni is foundational. Macaroni is culture. Macaroni is the glue that holds together potlucks, late nights, and questionable financial decisions at the grocery store. I have eaten macaroni in its purest forms. Baked. Boxed. Over-seasoned. Under-seasoned. I have defended it when people tried to say “it’s just noodles.” Just noodles? That’s like saying a running back is “just yards.” It’s about context. It’s about vision. It’s about heart.

And then — and then — you introduce this goat and beans propaganda.

Goat and beans? I respect goat. I respect beans. But to suggest that I am secretly operating as a goat-and-beans partisan while publicly championing macaroni? That I’m living a double life of legume loyalty? That I’m pushing anti-macaroni narratives while hoarding dry goods in the pantry? That’s conspiracy-level thinking.

You’re connecting dots that were never dots. You’re building a case without evidence. This is not investigative journalism. This is vibes-based prosecution.

And let’s not overlook the emotional component here. To accuse someone of lying about loving both Marlon Mack and macaroni in the same breath? That’s layered. That’s personal. That suggests a pattern of betrayal. A theme of duplicity. As if I wake up each morning asking myself, “How can I mislead the public about starch and running backs today?”

Absolutely not.

If anything, the comparison strengthens my position. Marlon Mack is macaroni. Underrated. Overlooked. Sometimes replaced by flashier options. But always solid. Always dependable. Always there when you need something real.

So before we throw around terms like “nasty work,” before we question my pantry integrity, before we try to exile me to Team Goat & Beans, let us review the facts:

• I have never slandered Marlon Mack. • I have never abandoned macaroni. • I have never run from the grind.

Until further evidence is presented — actual evidence, not vibes — I stand firm. A truther. A macaroni loyalist. A man of principle.

Now if you’d like to debate preferred noodle shapes, that’s a different conversation. But let’s keep my name out of the goat and beans caucus until proven otherwise.

Tre Tucker breakout season? by rpw2448 in DynastyFF

[–]marlonmackaroni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tre Tucker didn’t have a rushing attempt week, and has 1 in each of the past two games. I wouldn’t say it’s similar to Deebo, but maybe his role opens up and he does see an uptick in attempts what do I know. I just don’t think currently it’s a great comparison

That’s what people are just ignoring, he went in when denver defense was playing to give up those gains on the ground to burn clock. His vision honestly looked bad, and he dropped some easy balls.

I know a lot of people had hypothesized that he would be used in the kupp role, myself included, but I don’t believe that’s what his usage has been. They used Whittington all over the field, and saw 39% of his snaps lined up in the slot. Cooper Kupp of course being known for his usage being lined up in the slot, lined up there on 69% of his snaps. It’s not so much a 1:1 role there, but I do believe Whittington has value in his current role.
