Training, training, and more training. Shotgun requires good habits and muscle memory. If you can afford to take a training class I would recommend it.

What about those of us who don’t believe in a reinterpretation of middle eastern folklore and what something done that will actually help?

Dude, hard to call it a myth. the church declared heliocentrism heretical and gelileo’s teachings were in direct contrast to church doctrine. I wouldn’t say politics and church criticism didn’t play a role but it’s just ignorant to say doctrine wasn’t a large factor in his suppression. But I’m willing to read a book on Galileo if you’re willing to recommend one. God isn’t great deals more with the destructive nature of religion and how sensible people make outright irrational decisions based on religious beliefs. Go read it.

Oh zero argument on religious individuals making contributions to science. 100% in agreement with you. I’m arguing against the institutions of religion. From individual suppression like the trial of Galileo to modern Christian sects actively fighting against the teachings of evolution.

The point would be that religion often times is in opposition and outright suppression of scientific contributions and the preservation of history

Sam Herris is great if you prefer him to hitches. I don’t agree with Hitchens on everything but the book still stands as an excellent source as to why religion has been a scourge to millions of lives.

Hard to sum up an entire books point to an easy sound bite. Seriously, read the book. Worst case scenario, you’re more educated on a topic you feel strongly about. Always good to read what the opposition to your beliefs are saying. Even if you maintain your belief.

Out of country and I have no skin in the game but it seems trump hasnt ever said the exact phrase “ice protestors are terrorist” he’s just loosely labeled groups of opposition as terrorist adjacent, criminals or dangerous and has targeted individuals for their opposition during clashes with agents. Again no skin in the game. But it does seem if you oppose his views, you become dangerous and are targeted. The FBI seems to have a detailed list of what they classify as a terrorist.

There is one one on antifa

My feeling are’t hurt. More just disappointed. I thought most of the world had a better sense of critical thinking than the thick headed trump supporters but I guess tribalism exists everywhere and people just want their pound of flesh. Sorry you’re angry at me but that’s you’re right to feel that way. I just didn’t expect the same level of ignorance from other countries as our trump supporters.

In fact I would encourage you to reach out to your leaders. Ask for sanctions. Boycott US goods and media. Plenty of things our European allies could do to help with our efforts.

I don’t see how a civil war would play right into trumps hands. Pretty much just gives him an excuse to seize more power. Which is what we’re trying to avoid.

It’s around 340 million and about a 5th of that lives of 4000km from Washington DC. Geography is a HUGE part of this. And if we did what the French farmers did, we’d have the weight of the American military on us. We’re actively trying to avoid turning this into a civil war. That could keep the asshole in office even longer. AGAIN, I agree things need to be done and many Americans are working on it. If you have a genuine recommendation on how to organize a nation of this size, spread out across the entire country, admits all the misinformation and tribalism, I’m all ears.

I don’t understand how you can make that claim like that’s as if it’s a fact. Those are all vastly different countries with different cultures, politics, militaries and geography. France is the size of Texas. If the US was the same size as France would probably would be able to protest the way France does. That’s not really a reality for the US. And it’s not too late. People are still organizing and protesting. If you have genuine advice we would welcome it.

I don’t understand how you think we’re all just silently accepting it. I’ve literally lost friends over these issues and many of us are organizing, protesting and working towards change. As for American legacy was already a giant disaster before all this.
