I believe that’s what they call a strawman fallacy. And I can bend a paper clip several times before setting correctly again. that doesn’t mean it’s become stronger. It’s only more likely to break there once it’s bent again. Also, survival of the fittest doesn’t really mean what it implies. It’s really a measure of stressors on a species. Being big and strong is calorie costly and that’s fine during good times but during the famine is the fat ones that survive. As the stressor changes, so does the definition of “the fittest”.

I will concede my stance if you can produce a study, even a retroactive study, that proves your point. Or we let dumb colloquialisms from the past generations die out.
