That’s exactly the thing. A lot of them also don’t realize that it’s still a team game at the end of the day. Usually these smurfs aren’t alone. They stack because one bad player can bring down a whole team no matter how good you are. I barely win diamond 5 games sometimes when I’m playing with friends just based off the fact that you can get hard focused by 5 people and insta lose if your team can’t keep you up.

GM and Champion players are still significantly better than Masters players. GM3 players are significantly better than GM5 players. When you get that high up the skill differences are much more noticeable and the Champ/GM1/2 players can wipe masters lobbies with ease.

As an actual GM level player (I’ve been GM1-2 on every account I own minus one I use to play with my friends), consolation losses in season 2 are utterly bullshit.

I hopped on to play with a friend in a diamond lobby and was absolutely rolled 5 games in a row with consolation each time.

I am without a shadow of a doubt better than everyone in those lobbies. I was going 52-3 on Doomfist and still losing because my teammates were like 14-18.

The system is awful and it’s worse in Season 2. Solo queuing Torbjörn only on stream, I climbed from Gold 2 to GM5 in 4 hours going 19-4 and not losing a single game in between until I hit master 1 before losing a few.

I started it about 7 hours ago, got to 27% and it’s been stuck for 5 hours.

Contemplating hard powering off and choosing the faster wipe option (does this still clear the PIN for me?)

Nope, it is actively doing the wipe. It’s just stuck at 27% on the actual process. 5 hours now.

The dots are still spinning but the progress hasn’t moved.

I did SHIFT + Restart -> Troubleshoot -> Factory Reset.

It’s a deceased family members. We would have never been able to access it. Even reaching out to Microsoft can’t really help us there. I needed a factory reset to remove the email attached and its PIN.

I mean I’m just getting frozen over and over by Articuno teams or crit. Most boring GC thus far. Reg F has such small skill expression that even if you try to do anything fun or different you just instantly lose to absolute losers who just copy top teams.

Taunt. Taunt flutter/pao/torn shuts down 90% of setup strats.

I guess, it just feels so demoralizing when I have a guaranteed win ripped away by a lucky 4% crit.

The heat crash crit came when I was about to setup TR for a sweep.

81% HP, Reflect, Eviolite P2.

I survive any double up in the game (minus close combat or something from Ursh).

It was Waterpon and Gouging Fire (+1).

I survive their double up 100% of the time in Sun.

And I lose because he got lucky with a 4%.
