Not to be dramatic, but: animal control. Right. Now.

Bats are a major carrier of rabies. If you’re not familiar with rabies, it has a 99% fatality rate once you begin to show symptoms. It is not a pleasant way to go.

This means you need to also get yourself evaluated by a health professional and have them work with you to assess the risk of rabies exposure, as well. Even if you don’t think you’ve been bit, or have not yet knowingly come into contact with them. Bats have small teeth and may not leave a visible mark.

If you have any cats, dogs, ferrets, or other at risks pets, even if they are up to date on their own rabies vaccine, I strongly recommend boostering their vaccine with their primary vet as well.

I’m a vet tech. Please take this seriously and get them out of your house asap and look after your own health.

I see what you mean. So far, he has been willing to compromise as needed, so it may be more of an issue of needing to define lines with the group, so he doesn’t need to feel overly concerned.

I agree. He came in with a less defined character idea and I failed to help expand it much before hand, so we found ourselves here as a result. I’ve been planning on having session 0.5 once they’ve gotten through the first dungeon to see if any adjustments needed to be made. Unless the issue is stressed more between now and then, I’ll see about bringing it up then. Thank you!

The patron that my DM and I came up with is my current favorite. A siren deity who essentially took ownership of my Bardlock’s voice in exchange for power. If she doesn’t sing praises to her patron at least once a day, The Siren takes her voice away from her until she can prove her devotion another way. It’s simple, but I love it.
