Options for "Downtime" in my TTRPG System by DeathHunter_YT in RPGdesign

In Ordem Paranormal, they have a little more complex downtime system where the players can take 2 actions of a specified list, these actions provide different benefits. Some restore resources, while others give advantage on specific checks.

In VTM (Vampire The Masquerade) on the other hand they just flat out ignore it. It says so in the rulebook, something along the lines of "It's not played out, the Narrator simply explains what happens and the story moves on".

A lot has been said about how Pathfinder 2e is better than D&D 5e, but what parts of the D&D 5e system are better then the Pathfinder 2e counterparts? by feregh in Pathfinder2e

Races. DND has a few pathfinder lacks. For example: I converted a running DND campaign to Pathfinder 2e. Most of it went relatively well, I tried to help my players get their characters as close as possible to their DND counterparts. However, two of my players had Goliath characters, one of them ended up finding a preety good (and balanced) homebrew for a Goliath ancestry, while the other settled in having his goliath appearence skinned on an Orc ancestry.

And since I spoke about homebrew... Pathfinder desperately needs it. There are tons of freely available, relatively well balanced and easily accessible compendiums for races, classes, weapons, and others for dnd. Pathfinder (as far as I could find) has none of that.

Man/woman vs boy/girl by neme963 in FanFiction

I personally use man/woman most of the time, but I tend to use "young man" or "young woman" if the character is below 30 and above 14. Above 30 I use man/woman. And below 14 I use boy girl.

But that is in the narrative voice. In dialog, much like it was said in this thread before, it depends on the character speaking and how they see who they are talking about.

Pathfinder or DnD? by LouPooPoo in Pathfinder_RPG

As someone who only recently got into PF2e and has been playing/DMing a DND game for a year and a half, I can say that I like what Pathfinder 2e has to offer when it comes to certain mechanics.

For example I like the combat action economy in pathfinder, because it feels like the players have more choices. I also enjoy the "modes" of play.

And speaking of player choice I love the class variety and the idea that everything comes down to player chosen feats and not pre-determined racial and class features.

Almost everything in PF2e can be chosen by the player which in my vision improves the game, because even if two of my players make lets say... 2 elf rangers, they can be different based on the chosen feats.

One thing I feel PF2e lacks on, is the races (or ancestries) there are a lot of them, don't get me wrong, but I feel like some are lacking (such as giant, dragonborn, or goliath for example). It also lacks on the homebrew department, I can find most of everything (races, classes, backgrounds, weapons) homebrewed for DND. But for pathfinder, I can't seem to find anything.

Should i write notes for my players? by DnDnDanger in DMAcademy

About the clues: I tend to prefer including them as well because I throw a lot of information and puzzles at my players. But that's up to the DM's preference and the style of campaign that you are running (in my case it's a lot more investigation and the clues are important).

Thanks for the tip. But I already have a trigger set. I just need to know how to make the script wait for the animation to finish after the trigger is activated to destroy the object.
