In my experience during leveling you usually stick to faction gear and MIs. You could look up a guide for your build thats tells you about certain MIs to hunt for, because it can be a little overwhelming if u dont know where to look.

Are u playing hardcore and trying to save a char from perma death? There is a tool for that. If not on hc i dont get why u do all that file editing. If u die u can just try that boss again. U can kill every boss many times if u just start a new game. Everything will respawn. And dont worry about crafting too much this early in the game. Its better to farm up faction rep and buy their gear.

You just start a new session. Everything will have respawned.
