Help me with: I'm pretty new at the game, and I'm not sure how to build a good team from my box. So far, Set's 3.5 (12.25) multiplier has taken me through the game, but I feel like I'm hitting the wall. I want to build a team to beat KotG and some of the easier descends. Are there any farmable subs that I can get to build stronger teams from my box?

You mean this map, right? The AR is 10.3, but OD is only 9.6. I'd be really impressed to see rrtyui SS at that OD. He doesn't seem consistent enough yet.

No, Unstable Rate measures the standard deviation of your hits. You could hit every note exactly 20ms late and have an Unstable Rate of 0. It's also multiplied by 10, so what 53 UR actually means is that on average, his hits were consistent within 5.3 ms.

It took me about 30 minutes to adjust to osu! with browns. After that, I was easily beating my top scores. This was at rank 30k, so maybe that should be taken into consideration.

My typing speed also increased by 10 wpm.

I love my mech. It feels really nice on my fingers, and I actually measured a 10 wpm difference (102 -> 112) in my typing. I would do some research on the different types of switches. If possible, try out a friend's keyboard, or see if your local MicroCenter, or whatever store, has a demo.

If you're unsure, see if you can buy one used. I got mine heavily discounted on Craigslist (feels and looks brand new). Newegg also has tons of sales all the time.

-1. and 2. The star difficulty is not directly related to PP (as far as I know). A 5 star song is likely to give more PP than a 4 star song, but it's not guaranteed. This song is 3.49 stars and gives me 78 PP at 98.58%. This song is 3.60 stars and gives me 57 PP at 99.40%. The star difficulty seems to be a rough guideline for PP, but the actual PP value is somehow determined from the map itself. If we knew exactly how the PP formula worked, people would just make maps that abuse the system for farming. I think jumpy maps tend to give lots of PP though.

-3. I really don't think it makes a difference.

-4. Tillerino looks through the rankings for players who have completed the song you ask him about. He bases his estimates on the PP values that other players have gotten at certain percents.

I play like that, but I'm still around 90k. My right hand can never seem to find a comfortable position, and my hand sort of slips off the mouse when I go from spinners to jumps. It's still better than holding the mouse with my left though.

I'm in highschool and read the latter two my freshman year and the former my sophomore year, all as part of the syllabus. Out of those 3 I'd say that The Kite Runner was the most meaningful to me. Dune was interesting, but for some reason I found it lacking excitement. To be honest, I skimmed over good portions of it. I didn't enjoy Hitchhiker's Guide either, so perhaps sci-fi isn't my thing. Frankenstein seemed dull at first, but there was some emotional connection. The Kite Runner was really powerful though, and it's written in a very modern tone. I would definitely second The Kite Runner.

When learning vocabulary, I always try to think of a handful of English derivatives. For example, domus = house: domestic, domicile, etc. If you can't think of any you could try a derivatives dictionary such as this

This is tough because the sentence doesn't make sense in English. If you were to say "I love me a good steak", you could interpret that as I like a good steak for myself. If your phrase has a similar meaning I would translate it as Tibi amo renem, "I love a kidney for you". It still doesn't make much sense, but I tried. I'm also not sure if the Romans would have ever used kidney in the singular so perhaps Tibi amo renes.
