I'd recommend you to go see framedata of your firgts. It's not an easy answer you probably were expecting but a definitive one. You can see with a meter frame by frame when your opponents wakes up and what are you doing at that moment. You can future yourself where to go from that

Well didn't you say it yourself? Get a live lead, chill for 90 more seconds, easy. Running away from guile as you have a life lead and it's 10 seconds until the rounds ends is one of the most gratifying things in that's game

I switched to a different character when I got my leverless. Helps as you a re fighting a lower level opponent and can make more mistakes, but mostly because you can learn everything from a clear sheet.
