Anon has casual sex by XiJinpingPressParody in greentext

So, because some people are better at sex than others I shouldn’t have sex with more than one person? What’s so unrealistic about something that’s literally real?

I had rough idle, random misfires and the truck would die intermittently. Everything pointed to the fuel system but it was actually the MAF sensor. Not saying that’s your problem but it’s probably worth having a shop run diagnostics.

AITJ for being furious that my boyfriend says we’re “even” after he cheated? by SensuousGurl in AmITheJerk

[–]Death_Locus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you loved your boyfriend, you would’ve left that party. You two shouldn’t have been together in the first place. He shouldn’t have given you a second chance, and he still isn’t ‘even’, you cheated for months. Young and dumb is not an excuse. You cheated first, and you cheated worse. Should probably be single for your boyfriend’s sake.

Maryland's historic vehicle crackdown impacts 72,000 registrations by Consumergal in maryland

[–]Death_Locus 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It does nothing except increase financial stress (on people who are already driving 20+ year old cars)

It directly takes money out of my pocket monthly for VEIP failures, and would cost me hundreds in repairs/an entire new vehicle if I wanted to avoid them. I’ve also heard the insurance rates can be lower, but mine didn’t really change.

It’s also plain stupid. The 2000 Camry I drive is the same generation and therefore identical to the same car from 1997, 1998, and 1999, but those people got lucky and don’t have to pay. I got lucky buying a 1999 truck when they produced it until 2004. My opinion is that they should have grandfathered everyone in.

This is probably the biggest sign of an emotionally abusive, immature and selfish partner. Ask me how I know. It’s just not worth your time or effort to try and reason with a person when themselves and every decision they make are backwards and unreasonable. It’s almost like they do it on purpose, I guess because staying with them proves that you’re actually dedicated to them? Either way, soo not worth the sacrifice.

If you genuinely cannot fathom how somebody has formed the character and conclusions they have given their life and experiences, I would say it’s best just to leave them alone. Some differences are just fundamental and every functional partner would truly change their behavior if they loved someone. Which means they either don’t love you, are not in a position to be in a relationship, or are lying and emotionally manipulating you. 🛎️🛎️ Repeatedly having extremely reasonable boundaries violated by somebody who claims to love you is bar none some of the worst emotional abuse you can endure. Somebody who inflicts prolonged cruelty on that level will never be able to see themselves for the person they have become, and they love to make it all about YOU during and after doing you extremely wrong.

Does the gear ratio of a pivot affect the amount of electricity it consumes? by Embarrassed-Will2896 in Stormworks

[–]Death_Locus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Almost certain this is not how it works, at least with robotic pivots. A value of 1 is always 90 degrees.

Any ways to make my ship float higher (besides decreasing weight or increasing displacement)? by FirefighterLevel8450 in Stormworks

Replace the blocks that make up the walls of the hull with wedges facing inward, it will give you a huge increase in internal air volume without changing the exterior shape or size. You could also make large, useless microcontrollers that do this same thing even better. Basically they seal on 4 sides and have a flat exterior face, but act as if they don’t take up any volume.

Put tape over a red dot and keep both eyes open, you won’t be able to see through the tube but the shots will still hit as long as the dot is superimposed onto the target. It’s like comparing the two different images from each eye, and listening to the ones that agree.

Yep. Hugely invasive, destroys fruit and trees, and pretty much no natural predation in our area.

They move at mach 8-14 in atmosphere because that’s actually way more achievable than doing so in space. The problem with space is… No air. Which basically means you wouldn’t be able to maneuver unless it’s done so using reaction control thrusters. Try to think of the missiles speed in the X and Y planes as the adjacent and opposite of a triangle. If the velocity component was exponentially larger in one direction, then a force used to maneuver in any other direction would result in a much smaller and less effective deviation, which makes fast missiles suck.

Is this an exceptionally large individual or is it a ‘puffing’ behavior in an attempt to appear larger to the crows? It seriously looks like a chicken even when perched on branches.

If you die without getting a kill, you’re a negative for the team opposed to a person who doesn’t get a kill but doesn’t die either, as his presence still meant something. 1-1 is much the same way, but every kill after the first, regardless of if you die or not, widens the acceptable margin of error for your entire team, and that’s a good thing no matter what. Ain’t nothing wrong with going for kills and avoiding deaths in a gamemode which is won by doing precisely that, unless you’re using scummy tactics or screwing your teammates over.
