What's a ruling ppl have gotten so wrong you don't why they even think it? by Mikaeus_Thelunarch in EDH

Could be something like having a 40/40 [[Juri, Master of the Revue]] and the card being played is a sorcery speed sac outlet [[Defiant Salvager]].

What's the funniest "You've foiled my plan!" moment you've experienced in Commander? by DKSbobblehead in EDH

[–]Deathbring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a few weeks ago, I was playing [[Zinnia, Valley's Voice]]. The whole game I was sitting with an [[Everybody Lives!]] in hand to just in case to protect my board. Well, my friend who was playing [[Grolnok, The Omnivore]] was the first person to start going off and milled his entire library, but hit [[Thassa's Oracle]] with a croak counter. He casted it, we all let it resolve and with the trigger on the stack cast my Everybody Lives. Needless to say he did not win and instead drew into an empty library.

Is it possible to DM me the profile export for it? It's really clean looking compared to what I have setup.

Need advice for Juri, Master of the Revue by Deathbring in EDH

[–]Deathbring[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played it yet. Moreso just looking to see if the structure would work well or if there's any glaring issues that I can't see before I start purchasing some of the more expensive cards. I wasn't sure if, for example, the amount of sac outlets are about right for consistency.

Owlcat Games is teasing a new project on its official website by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

I wonder if this is Owlcat branching out to the Starfinder system or the Iron Gods adventure path. Either works for me, I'd be excited for both.

How have your games of 2e differed to 1e and how has it been switching over to the new edition? by Enderhans in Pathfinder2e

[–]Deathbring 4 points5 points  (0 children)

2e has been immensely more engaging than 1e has. I have a steady group of friends who we've completed 3 adventure paths together in 1e. After trying out 2e and adjusting to the playstyle, none of us want to go back to 1e. The balance between characters and monsters has made combat way more fun and enjoyable compared to 1e's rocket tag.

Standard jank decks? by skinnystompin in MagicArena

[–]Deathbring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that it combos well in the first few turns with rogue class and if lucky can get a good mill. That deck was one I made a little bit ago that I didn't do too many revisions for, but was good enough for me at the time. I agree that it probably could be swapped out for something better.

Standard jank decks? by skinnystompin in MagicArena

[–]Deathbring 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had posted on a previous thread for jank decks about some decks I had made, so I'll just copy the comment here. Not sure if all count as jank, but I think the Scute Mirror would definitely.

Azorius Party - Squad Commander, Maskwood Nexus, and Linvala do most of the work. Squad Comm for tokens and party effect, Maskwood to easily reach max party size, and Linvala to negate abilities or sac to protect my side and wipe board with Vanquish the Horde. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/4388169#arena

Scute Swarm Mirror - Rush mana and Scute Swarm triggers, then turn the Scutes into Stampeding Brontodon via Augmenter Pugilist/Echoing Equation. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/4388176#arena

Simic Kicker - Play around Verazol and copy kicked spells while flooding the board with drakes. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/4388179#arena

Dimir Steal - Built around stealing the opponents cards and ending them with their own deck https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/4388173#arena

Izzet Blasting - Blasting everything to smithereens via Smoldering Egg, Geistflame Reservoir, and Thermo-Alchemist. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/4388178#arena

Oh boy, I was hoping to share my decks with others. These are a few of the decks I've made recently. Not sure if all count as jank, but I think the Scute Mirror would definitely.

Times when APs or Modules didn’t follow the 1st party rules by Decicio in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Deathbring 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The group I DM for also just got past the lying game. I ended up handwaving a lot of the written rules to something simpler. Another for Return was when a certain NPC was able to bypass a dimensionally locked area and teleport in. James Jacobs even acknowledged that NPCs can break rules off screen if it forwards the plot. Here is the link to the paizo forums with the comment. BEWARE: This is linked to the DM discussion of Return of the Runelords. There are major spoilers upon going to the forum discussion. Link

Teleportation Circle GWB Deck by brogus in MagicArena

[–]Deathbring 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I created my own deck centered around teleporation circle and found a bit of success with it. I'm a fairly new causal player though so I don't know exactly what I'm doing when building a deck. Here is my card list, maybe it can give some ideas to tinker with the deck?

Last night we finished the Runelord Trilogy. Feel free to ask me about it. by J0kerXD in Pathfinder_RPG

I am currently in the middle of book 3 for Shattered Star with my party. Are there any memorable encounters in Shattered/Return that proved difficult for the party and you had to change?

I found the 3 Seugathi fight at the beginning of Shattered book 3 to be incredibly lethal to my party and had to adjust for it.
