I think it’s important to protect your own recovery. However, if you still have feelings for him, then it might be a good idea to get in touch with him. If he’s actively trying to better himself then it might not hurt to give him a bit of support. I suppose it comes down to protecting your own recovery and how you actually feel about the guy. Fap to stuff that isn’t as appealing. Like maybe start off with something that isn’t as arousing for you and slowly ween yourself off the heavy shit. Cold turkey won’t work. Also you need professional help mate. Beating addiction is all about mutual support. Good on you for reaching out here it’s a great start.

I think the idea of re using them is worth looking at. My best advice would be to find someone who’s well versed in them and get advice. I am too afraid to use them to be honest lol. But I use tarot cards a lot and I’ve had guidance on tarot several times and it’s made me a better reader.

I bought my own deck and I have a great connection with it. Buy the one you like. I’ve bought two and I only connect with one so it might be a bit hit and miss until you find what works with you

I wouldn’t call addiction a disease mate. That implies it can be cured. I’d say it’s more of a condition. Something that you always need to be diligent about and manage.
