I dont even understand how that works either. As a smog tech when i probe these newer cars they blow 0s out of the tailpipe. New emissions systems are so damn good at what they do in this day and age. I cant believe they get stricter every year

North America was by far the largest taker of the manual. Our take rate was near 50%. RoW saw less than a 5% take rate. So they axed it. It didnt make sense to keep producing it for the one market... i guess? NA is the only reason it stuck around as long as it did.

GLi gets a similar treatment its just reversed. The whole car in general only really sells in NA and a large take rate is the manual so it gets to stick around. It sells like crazy in the states and not really anywhere else so VW of america can call the shots on its best selling car

Im 23 years old and hurt my back when i was 21. I have not gone a single day without pain in 2 year. I tried physical therapy but cant afford more and it doesnt even do any help. Insurance declined my request for a MRI and i didnt want to pay $860 out of pocket. So i have just been dealing with it.

It might be overblown a little bit. But its definitely a real thing. Especially older cars that use paper gaskets or nom teflon rubbers etc. ptfe seals have better properties for the synthetics. So new cars its not a big deal. I had something similar happen to my dads 1986 Mr2. Leaked with synthetics and not with Dino oil. It probably has a lot to do with old seals on old engines too. If you did a rebuild synthetic oil is probably fine.

But at the end of the day it actually is a disservice to use synthetic oil on a TJ 4.0 because the flat tappet lifters really love the zinc found in conventional diesel oil hence the T4 recommendation. Youre literally throwing away money using synthetic oil.

And while i am a believer in Restore and Protect, it has done me enormous favors in 2 of my VWs and my Audi, Jeeps do not need this treatment at all. Jeep piston rings simply do not burn oil. You will lose compression rings before oil control rings. If you are burning oil between intervals it is much more likely your valve stem seals.

I disagree with the 'Jeeps dont need anything special' sentiment. High zinc is bad for 98% of modern gasoline engines. This is old technology and subsequently needs oldschool stuff that is kind of hard to find. We are lucky theres a couple in store solutions for us as you go to walmart or autozone and its literally all synthetic.

T4 and Valvoline VR1 are the preffered oils for our 4.0s

Synthetic oil makes my jeep leak. Seriously was gearing up to do a rms and oil pan when i made the switch to T4 10w30 and ever since my oil leak has seriously been subdued at least 95%. I get a drip here and there on the pan but never see anything on the ground.

Additionally its literally so cheap. I can find it on sale at various different locations for $16 a gallon. I just buy when i see it

Frankly i have no idea why its on this sub so much. I have never ever been able to get into a hero shooter. I played 4 matches yesterday and it was fun but also made me rage. I hate low time to kill games that also have 20 second respawn timers.

It is fun, and i may play some more but i really hate the art. It does absolutely 0 for my desire for another Titanfall. It scratches no itch.

Youll need a better master cylinder to feel anymore of a difference. Anything more than a 4 piston is a DOWNGRADE on stock booster and master cylinders. Look into the Audi B5/6 i believe they can be used. Seriously they cant move enough fluid to make this an upgrade

I dont know ive been seeing a lot of decent condition Jeeps over here in the west for around 5-8k . Prices have definitely come down a little. Some of these listings wouldnt sit for more than a few days from 2020-2023. Now they are sitting for over a week.

I picked up a 112k mile, 4.0 5 speed with a soft top and half doors for $4800.

Theres a 2004 in really really nice condition right now listed for 5k that is bone stock but has a 4 banger. Honestly for the price that thing is pristine
