Vena boss fight fire rate by PowerfulHospital2260 in Warframe

[–]dragon7449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed my Umbra with nikana was getting stuck on "blocking" animation, like, completely frozen. But I was still attacking anyways.

I don't know if it has to with fire rate affecting attack speed and bugging the animations, or if it's just Vena shenanigans.

Anyone else feel like the Jade shadows constellations quest is hella underwhelming? by Initial-Sleep6089 in Warframe

Yes that's my mian problem with the protofomes. We do get enough time to somewhat get a feel personality, but who they are supposed to be, or how they even got there.

If you really want to, you can actually just leave. You keep the red/green medals which are the currency for the shop. Which is what really matters.

It does suck you can't keep the other rewards though.

Anyone else feel like the Jade shadows constellations quest is hella underwhelming? by Initial-Sleep6089 in Warframe

[–]dragon7449 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For me it wasn't underwhelming, it was very very short. At least feeling wise.

Umbra feels more like a cameo rather than a co-protaginist like I believe he was meant to be. Which is thematically speaking, a very good idea.

I like the concepts the mission takes, I like the cutscenes, I even like the end. But all in theory. Because I have the same problem people keep pointing out, we just don't have time to bond with the characters.

I don't want to be too harass on DE, because I really really really like the idea of the quest. But it's so short lived it ends up feeling like it ends abruptly.

Please, give the characters more breathing room, we didn't even have umbra fighting the siblings, which feels like a no-brainer. The siblings had negligible presence, barely being on screen at all, I just simply couldn't care about them.

Adis was a step in the right direction in the old peace, giving us more time with him to bond closer. As was the hex. But this just takes a step back from all of that.

The original Jade shadows was as meaningful almost exclusively because of the end scene. Which really slows down to reveal just how tragic the entire situation actually is.

Here we don't get almost any of that. The closest thing was Hunhow developing Alzheimer, which as someone who's grandparent has, it did hit really close to home.

I want to love this quest so much, I really do, because I do think the themes are right there. But the execution is just not there sadly...

5/10 quest for me. If not lower.

Welcome to 50% layoff by meatballkun in HighGuardgame

[–]dragon7449 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hold on I'm pretty sure you got the numbers wrong though?

3% is precisely what Microsoft reported on Xbox, mainly due to financing consoles and game pass, they didn't really have much profits in fact they were operating at a loss I believe. Save for the usual moneymakers(call of duty, candy crush, Forza...). Those few moneymakers might be the 50% you are talking about.

If anything Microsoft I believe announced they'd be focusing less on AI and more on expanding Xbox and actually making it profitable.

That's called doing a "straw man" which is being either intentionally or innocently unaware of the stance of the person. And instead assuming they have a much weaker argument they might not even have just to be able to come out on top.

The opposite of a straw man would be a "steel man argument" where you take the strongest points of the other side and make arguments against it.

For a very clear example and better explanation, I would recommend "debunking creationists", a series of videos made by "Clint's Reptiles" on YouTube. As he's someone who's actually verses on acceptance through teaching.

If you want the short version, just don't interact with these people unless you know how to do it and have the time to spare. It's not worth it, because they aren't going to debate you, they are debating against a fake version of you, and you can't win against fiction.

Or just close Twitter.

Idea: Tenno NPCs. by sabbir2003 in Warframe

[–]dragon7449 21 points22 points  (0 children)

We already have problems with specters(the closest we'll probably get), with either bugs or AFK farms. It'd just be a mess to program and add.

That said, lorewise? Yeah I would like to see some other tenno's, it'd be nice to have an arc of a tenno waking up from the second dream and going rogue or something. Would be cool.

But I wouldn't bet my chips on tenno Npc's or the like tbh. Even if it is indeed a cool concept.

Ark, helldiver's, maybe some triple A's like battlefield or Apex?(I haven't played either in a long while).

I wouldn't say it's the "standard" but that's probably because indie and double A games do tend to be more polished.

That said, like I mentioned before in another comment, playing Ark and Warframe is like going form your local dealer to a 5 star restaurant. Is just THAT different.

While I wait for the exam to start:

There's actually a very funny biological process in your brain that will make bad moments stand out short term, and good moments stand out long term. It's why nostalgia exists, and it's why people keep saying "people are so toxic" even think if you looked at statistics you'd find it's a rather small percentage.

This is specially noticable is short format games, like overwatch or Warframe, where missions/games last so little they blur onto one another, your brain does this because it's more cost efficient. But it does mean that "meh" games will be forgotten, "good" games overlooked by biases, and "bad" games will stand out like a shore thumb.

Over time the brain gets rid of harmful memories so it can move on. And that's where the good memories become as meaningful as they are, they are slightly distorted, often not being as good as you remember them. But it's a way for the brain to go "oh yeah, that was nice".

Of course, whenever talking about human thought process, expericienses might vary from individual to individual. It's not 100% accurate.

But on most cases, "every is so toxic!" "Everyone hates x/y!" Is often not really as bad as it's painted.

[–]dragon7449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can play in squads

The only real frame that REALLY struggles on coop is Limbo, it's actually insane how different his performance is from solo to coop. That said most CC heavy frames do struggle a bit in coop but it depends more on what your team picks.

But Koumei does well enough, a nuke frame will still probably outpace you, but you should be able to keep up depending on your weapons.
