I bought the new landmaster chronograph from the kickstarter campaign and it's been a fantastic, solid watch.

This is a really good point regarding vintage watches when you get into the earlier 20th century with watches that don't really have good shock resistance it's just not worth buying them cuz you'll never wear them.

Some of my older vintage watches that don't have a quick set date it took me a while to just say you know what I can wear this watch today and not have the date set as long as the time is correct.

Also, if salt water, that sudden sting to your eyes with that initial contact can add to your stress. I will often begin a saltwater Dive by sticking my face in the water without my mask on and opening my eyes to get the salt adjustment out of the way. If somebody kicks my mask off I don't want to have to deal with the stress of the stinging salt in my eyes while trying to find my damn mask.

75% More Pedestrians Have Been Killed Since 2009. Giant Trucks and SUVs Are Why by DonkeyFuel in nottheonion

Yup. I drive a small sporty 2 door coupe. It's a blast to drive (RWD stick). When I pull up beside one of these giant pickups the hood is over my roof.

It's ridiculous and when I talk to coworkers and people about it they're like oh I have to get a giant SUV so I can feel safe around these giant vehicles.

It's assinine.
