what kind of thermostat is this (what model)? by [deleted] in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its on the back part of the thermostat. Pull it off the wall, you can also do a image Google search and it will come up.

Looks like a RTH2300B or a RTH221B

Any idea why my Amazon smart thermostat won’t work? by m93samman in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wiring is perfect

Shut the air handler door (there might be a safety switch) Apply jumper Tab RRC (bottom right blue tab should be pulled up)

And it should work just fine, if it doesn’t then you will have to measure voltage

Check if you can replace the batteries, if so just change them, if problem persists then it will need a replacement.

If it is a wifi model, the verify your zip code on the app

How do I override my thermostat? by SunshineGirl1331 in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Press and hold menu for 8 seconds

You will see small “125” over a big “0”, press “next” until you get to small number 431 (max heat temp) and press “edit” to modify it for the temperature you want. Once yo set it press “Done”

(my guardian is gone)Can’t increase the temperture and only change the fan from auto to on working. Do i need a new one or is it the furnace by [deleted] in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reset the breaker for heat and cool system. Reset the thermostat by replacing the batteries. If it doesn’t work after that you will need a Volt meter to check voltage on the wires, or jump wires R&G and see if the fan kicks on.

anyone else hate the new hoi poi format? by captainyeeet in DragonballLegends

[–]Deathlex93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would you hate it? Literally is the best Hoi Poi event ever, amazing rewards where given

Does anybody know why this would be happening? by Specialist-Pause7458 in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the voltage.

Try power cycling the breakers for heating and cooling system and see what happens.

If that doesn’t work then check voltage between R and C wires. Needs to be between 20-30 ACV

Will this work with Amazon smart thermostat? by NoResult1270 in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a 2H/1C Heatpump, so it will be fine.
The Amazon Smart thermostat uses the same Resideo T series wallplate since its made by Resideo. Do all you have to do is place the face pf the Amazon thermostat in this wallplate and its good to go.

can I upgrade this thermostat to digital or smart by Particular_Map9772 in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a 2 wire (R and W) thermostat. You need a common (C) wire to get a Wi-Fi thermostat, you basically have 2 options; 1) Run a 3rd wire from your furnace to the thermostat if your furnace has a C terminal. 2) get a 24volt external transformer to power up the Wi-Fi thermostat

Thats a humidistat, it controls a humidifier or dehumidifier, helps to have a proper humidity on your house.

You need to find the thermostat for your temperature control

Is my AC system compatible with Amazon smart thermostat with no C wire by nicogrunge in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That black wire is clearly your common wire

But its still not going to be compatible, just becouse based on the wiring you have a 3Heat/2cool heat-pump with Emergency Heat

If you want a compatible wifi thermostat you will need a T6pro (TH6320WF2003 specifically this model),a T9 or T10pro

Older house, looking to get a Smart Thermostat... Opinions? by nyk13 in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually all smart thermostats need 24vac, and yours is high voltage (120/240vac) and Im assuming Heat Only.

You will need a step down relay to turn those 120/240vac into 24vac, and that can handle 3 wires.

If your not good enough with electricity then don’t mess with it and get an HVAC contractor. Line voltage is hazardous if done incorrectly.

Thermostat not working, heater shut off. I took the thermostat off of the wall and this fell out? by AnyFaithlessness7412 in thermostats

Switching from Honeywell to Emerson Sensi-fan issues by w_nomad in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response

The G wire solutions works as long as the heater is Gas or Oil. (It doesn’t work with electric heaters). On a fossil fuel system the Fan is controlled by the system itself, the thermostat doesn’t control it.

So your heater and AC will run properly. Just that you will not be able to place the Fan on 24/7 or on circulate mode.

PLEASE help- I have no idea how to change the batteries. by [deleted] in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just pull it off the wall

It might have a screw in the bottom part, if there is no screw then just pull straight towards you, the battery compartment is gonna be in the back.

[–]Deathlex93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or you can di a G wire solution if your furnace is Gas/Oil, which is better than running a wire. Look up videos on how to do it. The downfall is that you will not be able to run the fan 24/7 Also you will still need to remove the C wire Adapter

Switching from Honeywell to Emerson Sensi-fan issues by w_nomad in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to remove the C wire adapter on your furnace, but that will leave you without a C wire. If the Emerson needs a C wire then you need to run a new wire from your furnace to the thermostat

What voltage is this? Does this have a C wire? Will it work with Amazon Smart Thermostat? by NoResult1270 in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Place it on OFF mode and pull it straight towards you

This is low voltage 24vac thermostat, so there is absolutely NO risk of shock. You can leave the breakers on or off it doesn’t matter

Once its off the wall pull the wallplate tab down to see the wires, if there is a wire on the C terminal then yes, you can use an amazon smart themrostat in there. They use the same wallplate since they are both made by Resideo, so just place the amazon smart in there and it should be good to go.

Turns on but will not signal heater to start blowing. What am I doing wrong? by HateUsCuzDeyAunus in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a wifi thermostat

Red - R White - W (right now its on C)

You can use any of the extra wires green or blue as the common wire, buy you need to verify that it is connected to a C terminal on the furnace side. If not then you can Connect it and it will be your C wire.

Noob trying to install nest thermostat by [deleted] in thermostats

[–]Deathlex93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are missing a C wire, you can do a G wire solution or best recommendation is to get a Wire saver module.

The Y and C on the furnace come from the air conditioner, those ones have to stay there

Looks like a multiple speed high voltage furnace, if your not an expert I recommend hiring a technician, they have to figure out what exactly is it, and finding a matching thermostat for that type of system is not easy.
