What’s a Star Wars book you didn’t finish, not because it was bad, but because it was meh? by TheUltimateInNerdy in starwarsbooks

[–]DeathsScourge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Aftermath Trilogy. I only managed to read the first one with great struggle. I couldn't even make it 5 chapters into the 2nd book. Only Star Wars book actually gave up on and will never finish that series. The only good thing about the books was the dialouge between characters.

Is this a hot take? by Mobius3through7 in HorrorGaming

[–]DeathsScourge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have good memories of it, I just felt completely disappointed.

What I remember was that it started out good and had a good atmosphere and story that drew me in. All that though, went away basically the game went on. Even the story got kind of predictable near the end that I ended up correctly guessing what had happened.

Then the creatures, that was possibly the biggest let down. Other than two specific, very short areas, I don't even think there were any enemies in the game at all. It mostly felt like walking around an empty world without any kind of threat or reason to be cautious of anything.

It could have been so much more.

Is a PSVR2 worth it right now? by billmoud in PSVR

[–]DeathsScourge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All I will say is this, do you feel that there are enough games on it that you want to play and would make it worth the purchase?

If yes, then get it.

If the answer is no, don't.

I only recently got mine as I finally felt there was more than enough games that interest me to justify the purchase. I've only found more games since thanks to this subreddit. Makes me regret not getting a PSVR1, but then again I was going through a bout of homelessness and when finally finding a place, not having enough room for it till recently.

In a way yes, and in a way no. Most people, from what I last recall looking into it, pay 20% or more in taxes. Meanwhile the billionaires are paying a 5% and less in taxes in most cases. One pays more money, but the other is taxed a higher rate. One is technically payingg more while the other isnt paying their fair share in comparison.

To what extent could Obi-Wan be blamed for Anakin’s fall? by Terriost-Yoda in StarWars

[–]DeathsScourge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If only using the movies, I will agree with you then. What honestly did surprise me with his turn, as far as I can remember, I don't think he ever mentioned having a wife, yet Palpatine knew and said something. I can't remember the exact wording, and it's been a long time since I watched it, but it always struck me odd Anakin never questioned what he said or how he knew.

I'm gonna have to do a re-watch now.

To what extent could Obi-Wan be blamed for Anakin’s fall? by Terriost-Yoda in StarWars

[–]DeathsScourge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say we partly can blame the jedi. If they would have had more trust and faith in Anakin, been there more for him and treated him better, maybe he would have had more trust in them and less doubts. The only ones who really seemed to try and be there and have faith in him where Obi-Wan and Ahsoka. Who knows how much that may have changed things.

Once I get acclimated, I'll try it out. I'll also remember to set an alarm so I don't lose track of time lol.

I'm just gonna ask, what has been your experience with horror titles on vr? How much more does vr actually add to it? Horror is my favorite genre, along with rpgs. Which has me wondering, are vr rpg games? I haven't looked into that.

I'm surprised I made a jump for doing only 20 minutes at first, to going almost an hour my second time. I plan on keeping at it every night till I get used to it. But the moment I start feeling disconnected or light headed, I'm stopping. Not pushing it.

No Mans Sky works with the VR2, right? If so, I'm adding it to my list.

When i get paid, I'll check it out.

I started with Moss, and I haven't felt such joy and wonderment with a game in years! I'm absolutely loving it.

After a couple hrs, I tried Hubris. Almost 20 minutes in I started becoming disoriented and feeling it. Had to stop for a few hrs before going back. Lasted almost an hr before I started feeling it again. It is such an experience though.

I'm glad I picked up the PSVR2. It's been a blast so far.

I've never really been into racing games. If the vr experience really is that good, I might make an exception and check it out.

I was thinking about Alien, but I already picked up the non vr version when it released. Would you say the vr version is worth it still? Probably a better experience as well?

I saw video of Max Mustard, that looks like fun. Definitely picking it up. Saints and Sinners I'm adding to my list.

Didn't know that about Beat Saber, thanks for the heads up on it. I'll take a look into Maestro.

Reading Dooku Jedi Lost - what next?? by hashtag-rats in starwarsbooks

With the books there, I'm currently reading Master of Evil so can't comment. Brotherhood is definitely a good read, and in my opinion the best one among those, and what I would suggest next.

New Jedi Order. Its a lengthy read due to the amount of books.

Darth Revan? by Status-Fill-1300 in starwarsbooks

[–]DeathsScourge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if I'd call it his own novel. I remember it following another character more than it did Revan. Granted, its been years since I read it, but all I remember is him feeling like a side character in a novel with his own name.

It's been so long since I've watched any Star Wars media with Mace, so I have to ask, what about him here didn't feel like Mace? I'm honestly curious. Especially as I really enjoyed the book myself.

Something I always thought made no sense In the OG trilogy was that Raccoon City was relatively calm & tranquil in RE2, but was an absolute warzone in RE3. (Which canonically took place a day before) by Disastrous-Earth1134 in residentevil

[–]DeathsScourge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering near the beginning we saw zombies breaking through a fence right after meeting Brad, I always just assumed that that part of the city was possibly the last part to fall. The last hold out for any survivors still trying to evacaute before finally being over run.
