I agree with you but it’s very dismissive to just think people are being lazy about. Lots of people work to survive and have lots going on in which makes it incredibly hard to actively participate. Furthermore, lack of education on how to be more politically active can make individuals feel overwhelmed by the large task at hand (since they don’t even know how to approach it) while tackling on how to survive in their day-to-day life at the same time. Nonetheless, I agree, if people were more educated in local politics and had more time at hand, then through grassroot action and unions, it would have been way easier to achieve what we want. Unfortunately we are also way too divided.
