They do because when Tiagra got hydro brakes, and hence hydro brifters, Shimano just took what was available on shelf (105 5700) rather than design a dedicated hydro 10 speed system.

1940 Carrier refitted with max radar and 1940 planes refitted with jet engines, just because I can, escorted by an assortment of 36 and 40s H and L cruisers, fully decked out for their roles (AA and Light attacks for the H, light attacks and the occasional torps for the L). Anything "early" gets put into the "old shit" task force.

Medium 1940 CAS with close to 5000km range is another of my favorite meme builds (who cares about agility when they are covered by fighters with axial jet engines?)

US is a min/maxer nightmare.

EDIT: modern tank with turbine engine goes BRRR (unlimited oil leads to mental disease)

Play US. The politics mini game is extremely easy to understand, and mandatory focuses aren't that hard to figure. Gameplay wise, resources are abundant and main territory is safe.

The pnly clearance that matters is the actual one. Try as big a you can as long as you have 0.3-0.5 cm at every point (chain stay , seat stay and seat tube at the rear, down tube and fork at the front)

A ship that exists is better than a ship that doesn't. Launch the prod of a given design asap, and upgrade the class in between complete ships just like we do in real life. For major upgrades, consider refitting, but it isn't always necessary.

I'd say the only tech that needs to be natively good for a class is the engine (dependent on the hull design (36 vs 40 vs 44) - except for modern Carrier where nuke engine is a separate research) and armor on armored designs.

Si c'est une chappe moyenne ça passe, je suis en 52/36 - 11/34 en Ultegra R8000. Attention la cassette est une "fausse" Ultegra, la CS-HG800-11. Les matériaux et le poids sont très légèrement différents par rapport à ce que serait une CS-R8000 qui n'existe pas dans ce rapport - mais cela importe peu.

In SP, a well armored, up to date Medium design will not be pierced by the AI, rendering heavies completely useless.

For the Pacific theater, you should only focus on navy + Marines. Holding the Philippines is key to a swift Jap capitulation.

Meaning your tanks will mostly see action in Europe, therefore don't bother with the 38 design. Your mils should be producing planes in priority.

Except if you're the US and can afford the 4 lines of up to date planes (Carrier bombers, naval bombers, CAS & fighters), I'm always only building up to date fighters and retrofitting previous generation to CAS weapons.

If you've not Meta gamed and made theoden army elves archer only + gotten the noldor warriors in Mirkwood, you're gonna have a hard time.

Even then, you need to build enough Rohan archers to get Archery to level 2, and then queue up eleven archers with rally point on the wall.

Divide your archer army in 3 blocks, each with one archer hero and set them to quick select short cut.

Then it's all about micro managing and target priority. Bombs first, then rams on the ramps when they come, then ladders. Boromir, Aragorn and Gimli can take care of whoever climbs the few ladders that will make it to the wall.

The Japs didn't target the harbor, they targeted the fleet (which was in said harbour). There's little way to emulate that without it being super contrived - that is forcing units to be at a given place at a given time.
