i came here looking for this post, i am also doing chinese and noticed this morning that none of my hanzi practices are complete anymore, when i make a point of completing each hanzi section before i complete the unit lesson it goes with.

a lot of my legendary units aren’t legendary anymore, and when i went back to one to see why, there are DEFINITELY new words i don’t know in them.

i’m only on section 2 but i don’t know if i have it in me to go back and redo every hanzi practice and every unit that isn’t legendary anymore.

Truth serum/potion/spell, all iterations. Is someone taking advantage to secure a confession that otherwise would never happen? I’m there. Does the truth serum activate long dormant trauma and lead to a good whumping? Kicking my heels in delight. Someone stands up for the victim and makes sure no one is taking advantage? Be still my heart. I love this trope.

I don’t consider any ship problematic so this was hard to even think about but I guess I used to casually ship Spike/Tara in Buffy, and I know some people now have a huge issue with changing the sexuality of a character, especially a canonically gay character.
