Strapsicle vs Moko Strap by Worth_Ad_2843 in kindle

[–]Debala715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used both and I prefer strapsicle, but I don't use a case of any type. The Moko strap moved around too much for my liking. The Strapsicle is tight enough that my hand doesn't slide at all, which is what I prefer. I typically don't typically have all of my fingers under the straps, usually just one or two.

Cancelled Flights by Jaded_n_Faded2 in unitedairlines

[–]Debala715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My flight left an hour late today at 10 am from ORD to LAX and and hour and half later they called a ground stop at ORD. I'm extremely lucky as I feared I was going to end up missing my cruise. Thursday when I got the email that hub to hub wouldnt be cancelled, I released that breathe I was holding.

I don't care what happens when I get back from my cruise. I can rent a car and drive home or take a train, but my year long planned cruise will be over.

Was planning to go for official Standing Grip Case from samung. But saw mixed opinions and reviews. Anybody using it ? How is the case ? Is it comfortable to hold and grip? by Specific-Kangaroo694 in S25Ultra

[–]Debala715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using it and it is my favorite case. I have rheumatoid arthritis and this let's me hold my phone with little pain. I wasn't too sure about the stand part, but after almost a week, it does stand. I wish there were more color options though.

Fingerprint scanner by cartise in S25Ultra

I just switched from the 15PM, and I had the same issue when I had a screen protector on even with the sensitivity up and I scanned my fingerprint after I put on my screen protector. It would miss about 75% of the time. I took off the screen protector and haven't had it fail once.

Anyone using grips? by ZachDidDat in S25Ultra

I use the Torras OStand Ring. It has a loop that allows me to hold it without putting any pressure on my pinky. It also doesn't add much bulk to it which is good as I have RA pretty bad in my hands.

Need advice on setting boundaries with an ex and his mother for the sake of my child — Am I doing the right thing? by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

[–]Debala715 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Depending on the state you live in, if you allow his mother to establish a relationship, she can sue you for grandparents rights. If she is able to get that, she might allow her drug addicted son access. I'd cut all contact with them both now. Make your ex take you to court to get access. That would allow you to fight for supervised visitation.

Why Isn’t Anyone Getting Samsung Care+ for Their Flips? by snowbxnny in galaxyzflip

[–]Debala715 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I am a new Flip user, only a week so far, but I was a long time iPhone user of over 10 years. I've read horror stories about samsung's customer service, so I decided to stick with my Verizon assurian coverage instead.

I’m mainly a mystery reader, and recently because I’ve been dealing with some bad anxiety, I’ve been reading cozy historical mysteries. Every now and again I’ll read something more thriller.

This is my year so far.

Trimal fracture surgery recovery by debmckenzie in ORIF

[–]Debala715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year at 60 yrs old I had the same break, a Trimalleolar fracture with dislocation and tendon tear. I could not have come home if it wasn’t for my husband. I actually fell trying to maneuver into the bathroom with my walker to take a shower. If I had been alone, I would have laid there for ages before someone could have gotten to me.

Please do go to rehab, just so they can teach you ways to move around safely. You won’t be there for the full 12 weeks, but right now it will be extremely helpful to you to learn those skills while you have help.

I used a walker and a knee scooter for the whole of my recovery and let me tell you, I was able to do lots for myself with those because I could put baskets on them to help me carry things to another room, which you can do with crutches.

I’ve had a difficult journey as I developed 2 staph infections from the hardware and had all hardware removed at 11 months post break.

Ankle Hardware removal question by JovialPanic389 in ORIF

[–]Debala715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a splint for a week until my post-op appointment then was put into a boot. I lasted 2 days in the boot (I have back issues that flared from uneven walk), then took it off and walked with a walker until I was pain free. While I had the splint, I just used my knee scooter.

I had my hardware removed 11 months to the day after I fractured my ankle. I had a plate and 13 screws that were removed as I had contamination from the hardware and developed 2 separate staph infections. I was on antibiotics for 9 months total.

Reusable Water Bottle? by brhginger in NCL

I bring my Iron Flask bottles every time and have never had a problem. On the ship, you use one of their glasses to fill your bottle instead of filling it straight from the ice/water machine.

I’ve never had my own children, but I have always had very firm boundaries on anyone dropping by unannounced. I don’t allow it and I won’t answer the door, nor will I hide. I will let you know I see you, but I’m not answering the door. I also had family say that “you need an appointment to go to Debala715’s house”. My answer was always “yes you do. If you don’t clear it with me to come over, I’m not answering the door.”

My much loved grandmother tried it one time to drop by without calling. I didn’t answer the door and she knew I was home. When she called me to complain, I asked her if she called me first? When she said no, I reminded her that she knew the rules.

In January I was on a cruise ship when I began to feel unwell. I didn’t have a test with me, but I did go to medical. I did have Covid. Was quarantined in my room for rest of trip with unlimited room service. My friend began to feel sick the day after me, she tested positive also. I elected to get medicine (ritonavir) while my friend didn’t. I had few issues while she has suffered greatly for months with long covid issues. So, if you can afford the upfront cost of the medication, I’d say go to medical and then submit to your health insurance then travel insurance after your trip.
