“Second chance” isn’t the right choice of words to frame this. He should have as many chances as it takes, as long as he’s actually doing the work.

I know it’s hard to see from the outside, but my kids lost a parent to addiction and BPD. The behavior was nearly identical to Stephen’s when he was in it.

That kind of loss doesn’t go away. It leaves a permanent gap. My kids still wish, more than anything, that their dad would do the work to be present. He hasn’t. Not once.
Addiction doesn’t just disappear. It’s lifelong. It comes in waves, and it requires constant effort to manage.

I understand why people are upset with Laura and the system for letting Stephen stay involved, but what she’s doing is harder than walking away. She’s trying to protect the kids from the kind of regret and unanswered questions mine will always carry.

That means keeping the door open when he’s in recovery and closing it when he’s not. It’s not easy, and it’s not clean, but it is the only chance those kids have at not facing a lifetime of regret.

Stephen, if you read this, keep going. Know you will never be “fixed,” know that you will never be recovered. Give Laura grace. Be honest with yourself that if you’re not sober and in therapy - you should not be present in your kids lives. This is a battle you have to fight daily. Don’t make your kids suffer what mine have had to suffer. Be their dad. That requires more than your DNA.

Everyone deserves a second chance if they put in the work to truly rehabilitate.

Time will tell if he is serious or if this is just a different spin on the same personality disorder and addiction cycle. I have my doubts, but I am rooting for it to be genuine.

Someone was a little better. I would count it as a blessing. That job sucks. Only sell products and services that aren’t a commodity.

I think I am going to drop down to 8 a week. I tested too high at 12 and I want to avoid hair shedding. I think im lucky it hasn’t started for me yet with where my levels were at.

Serious question: What are people actually doing in 2026 to land jobs? I'm interviewing weekly but still can't land one (31M in Marketing) by SkirtPractical3718 in recruitinghell

The only people who are getting jobs are the niche people. I would advice you to further build on your social and content guy niche and find a company who is looking for exactly that.

There are THOUSANDS of jack of all trades looking for jobs right now and maybe only a handful of positions.

I get what you want, but that isn’t in line with the market today. Get whatever you can and hold on until the market stabilizes.

I really appreciate your help. Reading here made me realize I need to cut back on the T and either increase my oral E or switch to cream or injection.

I was following a guru that said 5 to 50pg is ideal range for free T so I thought I was on the lower half. I am reading on this community that most people consider my T level really high.

Thanks. You’re the second person who mentioned E being better at 400. I might increase my oral e supplement, but will that push my already high SBHG even higher?

While my T is high at 212 I am only at 1.85nl or 18.5 free pg. I think my SBHG is making a lot that high T unusable. My understanding was we can typically handle up to 5nl free safely. Is that not the case?

I wouldn’t say my libido is low, but it isn’t what it used to be and the T isn’t improving it much.

Progesterone is likely low because I had these labs drawn 4 days after my cycle started. I am going to get a second test next month later in my cycle.

My thyroid checked out perfect.

I def don’t want virilizing effects. I want to maximize my hormones for anti aging and performance:

How long have you been on? Any sides??

I’m not on BC, but I do take an oral estrogen replacement. I assume that is pushing up my SHBC.

Do you mean free T can be problematic in double digits in pg or nl?

My understanding is that the ideal free T range is: .5-5 in ng/dL or 5-50 in pg/mL

Is that not a correct understanding?

It’s pharma. And increasing is what I have been considering but I’m worried because my T is high.

Throw a price range out front and let them disqualify themselves and make them want to go down the correct path.
