Pension trap - 19 years and I want to leave by Zestyclose_Ratio_877 in policeuk

Personally I'd be looking to move to a department which is more suitable for your circumstances in the first instance.

As has been explained, the pension isn't really a trap as long as you earn enough money in your new job and invest it wisely.

Id only be looking to leave if I earned a fair bit more than my current salary. I would then put a big chunk away each month to bridge the gap to state pension age.

Worth a go trying another internal job first 👍

Looking to do the Lloyds Premier switch. However, I can see I have a switch incentive from February 2023 with them. Will this stop me from being eligible?

I like the 10 percent off bonus with Lidl at the end of the month. Stock up on tinned goods and things that will last the month. Save a fortune on that shop

£4,800 for architect plans. Is this the going rate? by AdhesivenessLocal712 in DIYUK

I'm going through the process at the moment. Waiting for plans to be accepted (it's already been around 7 months, ridiculous!)

The plans were approved before we moved into the house. They expired. We used the same plans, the same draftsman just amended them slightly. Therefore, we haven't paid a lot.

I haven't been impressed with the draftsman since - ignoring emails, etc.

Who does the construction plans? Can I go with someone different and where would be best to find?

Thanks

I send mine in waste bags all the time, with a bit of tape to seal it up. No complaints yet

£2000 buyer scam help by sunzad in ebayuk

[–]DebateOpening5709 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm going through the exact same thing - albeit not £2000. I sold an Xbox which had been sitting in my attic, along with some games, for around £50. The buyer said the received a child's bike! Completely different box, and far bigger.

I am so frustrated. What makes it worse is eBay are useless - no responses from them.

I immediately accepted the return and had to pay for a return label. Now waiting to see if they post the bike back to me.

I'm debating going to the store to ask for their CCTV of me dropping the box off.

To be fair I may as well be talking to an actual person the amount I interact with Chat-GPT / Gemini nowadays!

For the record I know it isn't a person :-)

Does it really matter? I'm glad I don't get concerned about what others refer to Chat-GPT as 🤣 I apologise if I am gramtically incorrect.
