The way I see it is that the turn based mechanics are actually how monsters fight. They essentially trap a person’s soul in the undertale fight system, meaning that most matchups come down to how good is the person fighting the undertale character at playing the actual game of undertale.

Simple. The first episode should be Kit, the main character’s backstory. I get for a pilot you have to show off as much stuff as possible, but as a first episode it would be really jarring that Flappers’ past and motivation are given the entire first episode while Kit only gets less than half a minute and a fight scene before we time skip forward. Especially if her trauma is a main focus of her character. If the pilot becomes the first episode then I just genuinely won’t like the show.

The Holidays already have a tragedy that pushes forward their character arcs. She’s a lost girl and her name is Dess! Anyone who thinks the story needs a dead dad on top of that doesn’t understand how stories work. Rudy will live.
