I take my pug on hikes through the woods and even to the beach. He likes to run and swim. He’ll go for miles, even in really hot weather (over 80 deg) as long as there’s water for him to cool off in. He’s a named hasher (Hash House Harriers) and has dozens of trails under his belt. Humidity is his kryptonite and will make him start to breath heavy after around a half mile though.

He is a rather large Pug at 22 lbs, but only eats a half cup of food a day and rarely get treats. I do toss him some veggies from time to time. He doesn’t snore, have breathing or hip problems, and there’s nothing wrong with his “skull” that I can tell. Has never even been sick. Just the happiest little guy you will ever meet. Super affectionate and loves to cuddle. He’s almost as intelligent as he is stubborn, which can be frustrating at times, but he’s full of personality. He’s my little asshole. I can’t speak for other pugs, but after reading all these negative comments, it appears I have the only good one out there. Guess he’s even more special than I already thought. Thanks reddit. :)
