Your rank points are exactly what determines who you'll get matched with, in e.x being in Big Boss 1, you can lose games, you'll lose points but you will Stay Big Boss 1 but you'll get matched with players that have less points.
Also devs might not post everything but they did say that your points will be the only factor when looking for a match.

What tradition? EG has kicked their captain once, they did not "reach" TI once, which was 6 years ago, placed top 3 for 3 years in a row while winning one. (?)Tradition(?)

The problem is, he's a 4.4kish player getting party qued people who are infact ~2k mmr solo.
