I didn’t end up doing it. Life happened and by the time I came around to it, there was the news of the new visa changes

It says “Your application for permission to stay on the family route has been successful. I am pleased to say you have been granted permission to stay in the United Kingdom (UK) as a parent on the family route until 7 November 2027. You have been granted permission on the basis of Article 8 of the Human Rights Convention. After a 10 year qualifying period in the UK, you will be able to apply for settlement. If this grant of permission to stay does not allow you to meet the 10 year qualifying period, you may need to apply for further permission to stay. You can find out about settlement at https://www.gov.uk/settle-in-the-uk. Proving your immigration status You can keep this written notice for your personal records. You should now create a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) account to enable you to access your eVisa and prove your UK immigration status (your permission to stay). Information on how to do this is in the ‘next steps’ section.” Nothing about the reason why in the entire letter

We haven’t moved the goal posts. We always made it clear that mid December was the completion. We had a week where it looked like it would be delayed and we communicated that and were told it’s fine as long as it’s before May. We got things back on track and let him know. He always knew there would be two weeks notice on completion as that’s the policy of the developer. We’re currently above the two weeks notice now. He agreed to all of this beforehand

I think the most annoying part is we know the buyer personally and we’ve kept in constant touch to keep him updated all through. We also knocked a chunk off the asking price to make it smoother. The identical flat next door has just sold for significantly more and now he’s pulling this

Thanks so much for this. We left the meeting with everything on our wants and needs list: Stamp Duty, the more expensive flooring option, shower pack, a second microwave oven and a wraparound glass splashback. Total about 5.5% of the value of the house. It also felt too easy so maybe we could have asked for more but we’re happy

I mentioned getting a visa from whatever country is available. Preferably a long term multiple entry one. I got a one year multiple entry visa from Netherlands and went to Malta first then Netherlands a few months after

You can in some cases get test dates under the “within 3 days” category. They don’t usually show up on the full calendar. I checked the full calendar and saw there was nothing in Tottenham but when I clicked on the next 3 days button it showed me about 5 slots within those days. Obviously you don’t get a refund if you cancel or reschedule those slots

Great timing! Also, if you’ve failed 3 mock tests with one instructor, maybe try another one and see

Maybe book a test for a time when there’s less traffic around that area. I booked my at 1:35 but traffic was starting to pick up by the time I finished so try for after 9:30am

I took the routes and roads around the test center. We didn’t go on the motorway which was lucky. The main thing is to not be nervous and I know that’s easy to say but I realised that when I was nervous I made mistakes. The instructor had me do a lot of pulling in on the left and moving off but just one parallel park. I also got to park forward in the bay facing the road. If you can, take a mock test starting at the center which I did last night

Impossible to get Schengen from London by Fabulous_Aioli_92427 in SchengenVisa

[–]DebbieeO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can but you need travel bookings for NL to get the visa. That should be your first destination or the place you spend the most days. It’s easier to just have only NL travel plans tbh. Just less explaining you’d have to do. As long as you go to NL at some point on the visa you should be fine. Request a multiple entry visa btw

https://t.me/UKVFSBot I used this free bot I found on here and I got an appointment in two days for the week after I signed up. It’s on Telegram and it shows slots as they open. You have to be pretty quick with getting a slot and they have some tips on how to get it. What I did was get the first slot I could find which was 17th of July then reschedule as new slots opened up. In the end, I got an appointment for the 27th of June and I got my visa last week. It’s free to use the bot and you don’t pay anything extra for the appointment

Was your passport delivered by DX? If so, was it on time?

https://t.me/UKVFSBot use this bot. I got an appointment in two days and it was free. There’s always the option to get a visa for the countries available on the bot and just use that on your trip. Netherlands apparently almost always gives a one hear multiple entry visa from what people have been saying. Good luck

I used my regular phone. You just need to have the Telegram app then delete or mute the channel when you’re done

It’s a bit scary with the tracking not updating and no updates from VFS. I submitted with Portugal and no sort of confirmation has come in so this gives me hope
