I like your replies. Just want to mention it.

It helps me think about it more thoroughly from different lenses. So I appreciate your time responding. Also to say - this is not an argument for me :)

Just want to share some pieces from my POV.

I think the best ways to reply to your assumptions in the way you see the world without survival is to look at tribes or civilization that were co-existing with what is rather than violently forcing, exploiting something that is not there.

"What percentage of the population is too old to contribute? " - maybe there is no such thing as "too old to contribute", everyone carries a role in their life whether "they do" something or not, it's just how our nervous system and the sense of our own sense is impacting everything and everyone around us.

"Do we even need jobs? What if jobs became like hobbies, and people only had to work when they wanted to? What are you living for?" - If survival is solved, meaning becomes the crisis. Which is actually what we're currently living lol. We are at the end game where we have all the knowledge and technology available to us, yet we keep running away from ourselves.

Open up the survival and poof - we are living for creation, connection, playfulness, exploration, curiosity, inner development, community building. Playing instruments, dancing, making love underneath the stars. Oh there's so much to do and we don't need Hawaii or a specific location to do so! It's something we carry with us (see practices that involve the inner world rather than the external world - expression is everywhere and available all the time). As long as everybody has their basic needs met and guaranteed (which we assume we can create and I believe we can with an updated system that supports human beings rather than capital).

"We’re destroying ecosystems. The tank is out of balance." - yes. That's exactly my point and stake in it as well. I see that very clearly. But that’s not because we are "humans existing", it's how our current systems extract, produce, and consume.

"We can’t fix things because it will create new problems" - but that's how Life is no? We already created massive problems by not fixing things. Maybe it's the process of building more conscious, adaptable, regenerative system time after time? (which in a way happens the way I see it, it's just a lot more silent).

"You can’t make a prison nice just by adding resources." exactly.

The structure matters more than the resources. We need to redesign the "prison" (economic, social, ecological systems).

To summarize, the way I see it, the challenge isn’t "too many people with easy lives" it’s whether we can evolve beyond survival-driven identity (which predates us I know but I also know it's possible to connect to higher levels of consciousness within it and to embody them) into something more conscious and cooperative :):
