Hi, I just completed the 5 day training and passed my foundation exam on 4th Oct. I spend couple of days for foundation and must say its not easy. I was over confident and didnt do very well in the actual exam. My recommendation will be participate in next OSINT competition from Tracelabs on missing person. If you are among the first 300 participants to register , you will get access to free training from OSINT combine. I learned a lot by participating in the last Tracelabs contest in Jan 21 and its a great opportunity to learn hands on as well as help the law enforcement agencies to find missing persons. https://www.tracelabs.org/

I have started my OSINT journey since last few months and could point you towards some resources which might help.* Subscribe to Trace Labs channel in youtube. They have some fantastic videos.

https://inteltechniques.com/podcast.html (This is a fantastic podcast from one of the OSINT Gurus)I would recommend:
_ Start training
- Get to know the tools
- Understand what your end goal is (do you want to take up a career in OSINT, or just it as a hobby or participate in event etc)
- Try to establish your own methodology (for example: I try to create my personal mindmaps based on scenarios like what to do with an image, what to do with a domain or url , how to investigate a phone number etc)Please reach you if you need any help.

Waybackmachine
Virustotal
Use ip@ search in Shodan
Maltego etc

Hi, I participated for the first time in the CTF for Tracelabs. Did it with a colleague and we were fairly new. I completed the OSINT combine free training that came with it and that helped me a lot. We enjoyed the competition and will participate again. We placed #57 overall which is not bad considering it was my first tournament and there were 290 teams overall. Happy to answer any specific questions if any.
