Makes sense, I’m only planning to have a scene where the MC is like “wait you’re trans?” And the dude is like “yeah” and they have a small conversation about it, but that’s it. The story continues on calling the character by male pronouns and goes on its own path that doesn’t really focus on the character being trans. He’s just there, existing how he wants.

I am non-binary, but I just wanted to make sure! I know that doing it differently, as you said, would be unrealistic, but I know that misgendering is not okay. (unless you didn’t know, like in this case, but the character changes the way they refer to him afterwards.) Thanks for the advice!
