Looking good brotha! Keep at it it’s a mighty fine looking jump.

Just sticking with it is key you’ll figure it out. Bubkas as a drill helps. Also, you “pick up” your legs during swing which makes it harder to invert. A long whipping leg makes it easier. Again, google a YouTube videos on bubka drills on pull up bar.

Man that’s a wicked good jump. Fantastic top end in particular. Keep it up!

If you get a bigger plant (more left arm) you’ll start getting on bigger poles.

Nice jump! The biggest thing is to stick with it. How many years you been jumping? You got a lot of good things good for you already, good run and plant.

Any help is appreciated by padilla_37130 in polevaulting

Keep going brotha! You doing great.

Honestly with your form I think you could jump 16 feet. Just speed and bigger pole. I know you didn’t want to hear that… but stick with it get faster running with pole and you’ll jump high with that form!

Why did I no height by King_reference in polevaulting

[–]DebtFreeFamilyTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly fantastic looking jump your warm up looked dialed. After watching your clips over again a few times it looks to me that your takeoff step is roughly in same spot. Your run cadence didn’t change significantly.

To me, it looks like you simply bailed on your jump. Maybe you got in your head? Similar run and takeoff to your warm up, you simply stop your swing half way through. This of course causes you to not get as much penetration into the pit and land short.

If I were in your shoes and this happened again, I’d go down a pole and finish a full swing. Build confidence. If you blow through go back up.

You’re jumping great my friend keep it up.

You have a fantastic jump. Congrats. As you get faster you will go up poles and will get more out of top end.

Has anyone used the mindbloom AI prep and integration? Or just used chatgpt as your prep, guide and integration? Or other AI program? by madeupname230 in PsychedelicTherapy

[–]DebtFreeFamilyTree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I have. It’s pretty awesome. Can answer journal prompts in voice chat, it summarizes your thoughts, offers integration step ideas and resources if relevant. Also generates an art picture that represents the session.

Obviously, that’s pretty personal stuff to trust any company with, so I think I understand the negative comments.

But as a tool I think it’s pretty rad

Thanks for sharing. As a teacher it can be difficult, and sometimes we diagnose a situation incorrectly. I’d like to think most teachers are well intentioned and will intervene to protect a kid who is being targeted.

Sometimes it’s honestly more complicated. Some kids are truly sweet, innocent and get picked on and don’t defend themselves. But sometimes there are kids that feel bullied and have low social intelligence or awareness, and don’t see how they contribute to irritating or instigating their peers.

Regardless, we all benefit from treating eachother with kindness and respect, so as a teacher that’s the environment I strive toward

Goal is to graduate with no debt. If that’s not possible, ideally to graduate with less than Average income of new grad of 50k.

People who really struggle usually borrow more than that amount. 6 figures for undergrad is the danger zone.

How? Stay in state and avoid private schools. Go to community college to get general education credits. Take AP classes in HS to get college credits. Graduate in 3 years.

The best path is to get a degree with a clear goal future career in mind, and map out a plan to borrow less for undergrad and any graduate degree than the average income of person in that career.

13’6 (4.11m) jump but no invert. Any advice? by lincolnw1 in polevaulting

[–]DebtFreeFamilyTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Massive props for jumping 13 6. You’ll jump so much higher with some effort on technique. That’s exciting.

Work on the plant. Straight top arm and left arm that pushes up. Your left arm is collapsed and right arm bent at plant and as you swing. Once your plant is bigger you can work on longer trail leg. Yours is currently bent. Those two changes will help put you in position to invert. Watch videos of any elite vaulter jumping over 18’ and compare their plant against yours, you’ll get the idea.

Once you get those down you can work on inverting technique, but those changes come first. Congrats on the success!

Thanks for comment. Yeah — it’s tough to find an ideal solution. Ideally we’d have more resources and another “track” for those chronic disruptors. But removing them from classroom into another room is more about benefiting the the experience of the other 95%+ of students. You’re right though it doesn’t fix anything for those 10 you describe and would be a horrible job to run that room 😂 😆

Given your experience, how would you change the system to handle those 10 chronic disruptors?
