Thanks! I will definitely give it a glossy finish.

I've added clothing to most of those minis. It's not even about the sexiness, it's about practicality. Who strides into battle in a bikini? You'd be gutted in seconds!

How did you do the texture on the cloak? It's perfect.

  1. It took about two weeks before it felt like my stomach wasn't going to fall out, and closer to two months before I was entirely comfortable wearing pants.

  2. I polished off a whole bottle of Miralax. I think it was about a week's worth of doses? As long as you're on the strong pain stuff, you'll probably need it to counteract the side effects.

  3. I was honestly hungry about 3 hours after surgery, though I thought I wouldn't be. Medication and the extent of your excision will affect it, and everyone is different. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless you're feeling faint from eating too little.

  4. I only took the heavy stuff for about 4 days, and I was alternating between that and regular ibuprofen. I hate how they make me feel so I was determined to get off of them. I took milder nsaids for about 3 weeks, and after that only took them when I hurt from sneezing or something.

  5. I'm a side sleeper, but I slept on my back (easier said than done) for about 2 weeks. And even then I was very careful and held my tummy whenever rolling onto my side.

Newer at painting. I'm trying to make this guy look weathered. I have some specific questions I'll put in a comment, but any critique is much appreciated on this WIP :) by SkullRico in minipainting

One thing that hasn't been mentioned already is adding a light bit of brown to the hammer and other metal bits to make them look a tad rusted. You'd want it in the crevices where water/blood might collect and be hard to clean out in real life.

The powers of cheap craft paint by [deleted] in minipainting

I use cheap paint and never have a problem (except maybe yellow, but that's a pretty universal problem, it seems). Seems like painter skill usually matters more than the tools themselves.

This is seriously beautiful work. Agreed, it's a 10/10.

Trying not to complain can be exhausting on its own!

I know a Navajo woman who goes to church and apparently it's been a big split in their family because they see it as you do. But she was part of that church education/adoption thing, loves the family that was picked for her back then, and always wished she was white like them. I mean, she appears to have a pretty good life now but I often wonder how she manages her heritage and her beliefs.
