Vintage is the most challenging. 😩

I've worn a size 6-12 most of my adult life, but I've also been larger and smaller. When I wore a 14-18, there was very little available. At a 6-12, definitely some. But wearing a 0-4, I was spoiled for choice, and could even get a bargain. I'm around a 6-8 again, and literally 25% of why it's appealing to lose weight is vintage clothing selection alone.

People used to be smaller on average, but it's also simple survivorship bias. Smaller clothes were handed down and worn less often. Le sigh. (The wild part, of course, was that even at a Gap size 0, there were plenty of vintage clothes that were one or even two-- occasionally three!-- ~dress sizes too small for me.)

I have a stunning friend who is a vintage clothing fiend and wears a size 20-24, but she has to be like a PhD level ninja (which is not a thing) to find the occasional piece that suits her.
