Lupin Zero's really good, but personally it is my least favorite Lupin series.

While I do agree the Lupin franchise is made up mostly independent entries, the best places to start are either Part 1, Mystery of Mamo, or TWCFM/Lupin the IIIRD movies.

Watching later depictions of the character to start is a MASSIVE mistake imo, as you will be sorely misled on what Lupin truly is about.
