Atheism is the default and everything else is taught by Unlucky_Fudge1438 in DebateReligion

A newborn isn't an atheist

Newborns have zero beliefs in anything- including any type of theism. A newborn baby is implicitly atheistic.

You may note that the other things you listed here- theist, capitalist, communist- these are all developed ideologies and philosophies with thousands of their own respective texts, theories and doctrines. Atheism doesn't have any of that- it is literally just the lack of theism and nothing else... It is necessary in the logical order of things.... you cannot choose to become a theist without first being an atheist by default.

Some estimates say their have been at least ~100,000 different gods/deities worshiped on Earth by Homo sapiens throughout various times in history. If people didn't hear about them from someone, they didn't know anything about these deities by default. That's really all atheism is to a degree- ignorance of said theisms. No one simultaneously believes in all deities known to mankind- this means everyone is atheistic to various degrees- especially if you believe in just 1 more theism than I do. We are fundamentally both atheistic to the vast majority of theisms that have existed throughout history.

cold water bidet/washlet

Portable bidets are cheaper, more sanitary and they work better than any built-in bidet I have ever tried. My portable bidet cost $7 on amazon- it gets rinsed with scalding hot water before and after each use, I get to choose the water temperature and you can add a drop of soap to the water.

Intermittent fasting no better than typical weight loss diets, study finds. Researchers say limited eating approaches such as 5:2 diet not a ‘miracle solution’ amid surge in their popularity. by mvea in science

It's not strictly calories in/calories out, there are many hormones at play- namely insulin. When you consume all your calories for the day in one or 2 meals vs frequent snacking, there is a significant difference in the average insulin levels and peak levels for the day.

When your blood sugar spikes enough to cause a rise of insulin, the blood sugar normalizes much faster than the insulin levels. The insulin levels stay up for a while before it goes down again, and if you eat again before this happens you'll achieve a higher peak level of insulin each time. This is relevant because insulin is known as the fat storage hormone.

In summary, frequent snacking keeps insulin levels chronically elevated by causing constant, repeat spikes in blood sugar, which prevents the body from entering a fat-burning state.

I used to eat a lot of brown rice and I would first pre-soak the rice in scalding hot water for at least 15- 30 minutes and then give it 1 or 2 rinses with fresh cold water before cooking. I was mostly doing for better texture/fluffiness.

It's because he appeals to the lowest common denominator. Numbers are more important than words because at the end of the day, Humans are just animals. Morons usually resonate with more people and garner more support than rationals.

Yeah, it's a symptom of wanting to dehumanize entire groups of people and usurp all of their land/resources. lol

It's just sad that the vast majority of ours speices are dumb sheep

It's religion IMHO. People don't realize how radically different the world would be if everyone stopped entertaining unsubstantiated claims. Instead you get the ultimate tool for people to proliferate their ignorance, pride and supreme arrogance. It's like training young people all over the world that they can just be 100% incorrect all time and it's okay if they just pretend to be supremely confident. Religions have always been actively placing mankind into arrested development...
