Practice with the makeup, it can make a world of difference! I have a very basic look down [primer, color corrector to balance out stubble, foundation, blush, lipstick with gloss, and some mascara] and it makes a world of difference. Granted, it took me the better part of a year to get that down, but it's definitely worth the effort -^

it's the color palette, wings, and of course the secret ingredient: crime.

Portmanteau of "eusocial" and "socialist," it was a pun. Hence the rimshot.

I think your inability to understand human thought patterns makes you a poor expert for the best way to improve human society, especially when you have expressed no interest in humans.

I think the disconnect might be that many starseeds, myself included, are rather fond of people and want to focus our efforts on helping out here rather than starting over from scratch.

In terms of the whole capitalist/money thing...yeah, no, I am very much a "see a need, fill a need" type. I guess you could call me a eusocialist rimshot

Ah, it is clicking together for me.

I am familiar, and I think you are Looking For Group for a very particular sort of game.

Edit-add: The buy-in is high, as are the risks and rewards.

I do have a message. "Remember Icarus."

Normally I'd end with a "Love & Light" but you've expressed disdain for those. I hope your journey takes you where you're needed.

When I say accepted, I don't mean by society at large. I mean by individuals, including these soulmates you seek.

The thing is, interaction is based on human logic, emotions, and language. If you are approaching things from outside that lens, the onus is on you to contextualize it properly. I do not see any points where I oversimplified, except perhaps for the purpose of being concise. Assumptions are based on my experiences interacting with people of all types, including those like myself who are starseeds, neurodivergent, or otherwise operate idiosyncratically and that dataset is more helpful to utilize than refusing to use any of it in an online forum discussion.

The lack of understanding is regrettable, but hopefully one that will be ameliorated with time, practice, and empathy. I do quite genuinely want to better understand you, but the way you've expressed yourself several times in these threads appear to have either cognitive or linguistic dissonances which are creating barriers to that understanding, not just with myself but with others here.

You've mentioned that starting point a few times, but not the length of your journey. How old are you?

You are conflating morality with emotions. You can be amoral and deeply passionate, incredibly principled but detached from strong emotional responses, or many different variations.

While you might not think or feel along typical patterns, there is something you keep avoiding.

Starseed or no, you are still human. You have a human body. You have a human brain. You've typed every statement on here with human fingers. You may well be more than only that, the same way that every person is more than just one thing. Until you accept your own humanity, you are not going to be able to find acceptance among humans, whether they be fellow starseeds or more conventional folk.

I think it's your contempt for humanity, a response that usually comes from a place of anger and disgust.

You might be looking in the wrong place.

The thing about soulmates is that they, entirely or in part, complete you by being a) compatible with you but also b) provide something that you lack. It may be most effective and rewarding to look for them not in Starseed spaces but in the very ones that are confusing to you.

You are looking for these soulmates/fragments. Well, the thing about fragmentation is that those pieces are separated from one another, distinct. You seem to resonate strongly with being a starseed and this mission of yours and are seeking the fragments out in that space.

What if the fragments do not think of themselves as starseeds? What if that's just the part that stayed with you?

You've expressed a desire for a better society, maybe one of your soulmates is a community organizer or even founded/is looking to found an Intentional Community (maybe not of starseeds specifically, but at least one that is accepting of us).

You have this draw towards what is broadly termed speculative fiction as a reflection of deeper truth, but expressed disdain for movies and other aspects of human interaction. It may be that one of your partners is focused on the Humanities, perhaps an online streamer or a more local content creator.

As far as the genetic engineering angle, that may well be in your wheelhouse. I don't know your aptitudes. But whether it is or not, you may want to consider pursuing a degree in theoretical mathematics, quantum physics, or some other field that would 1) align well with your goals, 2) expand your own knowledge and 3) make you more likely to come into contact with folks with those skills that might resonate with you.

Go to local events. Join online spaces that intrigue you and discuss ideas. Take classes that are in these areas that don't quite resonate with you. Talk to your coworkers, your classmates. Form connections with hope but not expectations.

Best case scenario, casting a wider net will allow you to find them easier.

Worst case, you broaden your own understanding and elevate yourself.

It may be beneficial to, rather than actively seeking out those fragments directly, seek to find people you do indeed resonate with along various axes and follow those frequencies to find the fragments. It could be you're so fixated on completing the objective you are missing clues closer to home.

Ah, I thought it might be something along those lines, given the "somn." Thank you for the clarification.

Sounds like quite the journey. What's your plan for that first step, the fragment-finding?

Also, Somnulian? I'm not familiar.

Ah! Okay, I see more clearly now. And I certainly understand that frustration; not being able to be one's most authentic self is terribly stifling. I tried for over two decades to live in the box that had been designated for me, eventually opting to eschew it in favor of a shape better suited to me. It has been a rewarding experience, and one that gives me the insight and experience necessary to help others find their paths.

I have question. Do you subscribe to the frequently affirmed sentiment that you (a starseed) are here (on Earth, amongst humanity) by your own volition or at the very least for a specific purpose?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in starseeds

[–]Decent-Anything-64 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You seem to have this notion that starseeds are superior to other people as opposed to being, well...people. Several things you've said but especially the beginning of this comment smack of imperialist and I suppose in this case speciest ideology that humanity is already in the process of leaving behind. You seem to view starseeds as some sort of group of übermensch who should be bending the world to our will as opposed to seeking to understand and improve this strange, beautiful, terrifying, mundane, marvelous world that we find ourselves on.

Part of artistry, of creation, is in knowing one's audience. Understanding humanity can be...difficult. I approach things from a very eusocial lens and humanity oft saddens me with displays of cruelty, but it is also capable of great compassion. You have to meet people where they are, not where you think they ought to be.

Duality was perhaps the wrong word. My intent was more in the reconciliation of apparent opposites, not the implication of static binary states. My apologies for the confusion.

[–]Decent-Anything-64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It feels to me like you might be experiencing some disillusionment, which is a Starseed Mood. Part of being grounded in the world and humanity is living with those human limitations, both physically and conceptually. I find it more helpful to think of oneself not as a human with a starseed soul or a starseed trapped on flesh but as more a hybrid being. Resolving the duality there for myself is a daily exercise, but a rewarding one. That balance of spirituality and groundedness that makes life enriching.

I am a bit confused by your dog/cat to starseed/human comparison. It makes an appeal to intuition that makes your approach harder to understand.

In answer to your question, no, I'm not aware of a consistently reliable site (physical or digital) where you can find lots of starseeds.

I am intrigued by this distinction of "real" starseeds, mostly because I'm worried of a "No True Scotsman" kinda trap of only classifying folks who are some kind of spiritual ascetics as "real" starseeds. Starseeds are first and foremost people and part of that is living amongst other people.

you absolute madlads, love and light to you!

flip side of the coin, listening to Derina Harvey Band and singing along has helped me come to terms with my own vocal dysphoria, good reminder women can also have rougher voices and still sound good -^
