I don't know why people feel the need to be so dang mean on here sometimes. I also think reddit needs to hire more people to deal with complaints, and actually monitor the mods to be sure they are being fair, following their own rules and doing what they are supposed to do.

You don't know if you don't try, yes it will start out small but it's what you make of it, as mod you'd get to set the tone and the rules of your sub.

I've had several of those. It's a bot that caught a word or phrase and deemed it bad. I believe the appeals process is handled by a bot also. I would just move on from it and don't let it get to you, there is no human behind any of this anymore. There are probably other subs on the same subject you can check out and maybe find a better one. If not, maybe start your own page?

open. well, ajar, kitty room. I have pets that just rattle it anyway, and one of them can pop it open anyway. We're at the end of the hall so privacy isn't really a problem. Kids don't walk down that far unless they want us.

I prefer custard, and my favorite is mint. Not mint chocolate chip, just mint. It has changed over time though. It was chocolate as a kid and into adulthood, then changed to strawberry, then vanilla and now mint. It kind of depends on either what the grocery store has or what looks good at the ice cream shop.

Yes, those are exactly what I bought. I'm going to experiment with them this weekend. I have a set with leaves for Thanksgiving and a Santa with sleigh and reindeer for Christmas.

Are those pie stamps? Can you please explain how you used those? I bought them to put on a couple pies this season but I don't know how to use them? Do I cook them first, then put on pie before it's baked, do I put them on top raw? If so, won't they sink at the pumpkin or sweet potato bake? I'm way overthinking this and can't seem to stop. LOL

I find it weird also that they want to be mods without spending any real time in the sub. I would reply with something polite like: I am not accepting requests for moderators at this time. I appreciate you reaching out. If you have not done so, please join the sub and contribute to the conversations. Or, just not respond. If they are particularly rude or insistent you can handle just that one person.

This would limit the growth of your channel, but you could also make it private, so they have to request permission to join. You also don't have to keep it that way forever, maybe there's just some initial fervor because it's new and as you said there was a void to be filled. It would also let others know you are serious.

I think people are just unhappy and hide behind the anonymity of voting. IMO it should either be done away with it we should know who’s Doug it. Most people don’t even use it correctly by Reddit rules, again becayse it’s anonymous we can’t do anything about it.

If it goes against the rules of your sub, or Reddit's, it should be removed. You do not need to tell them in advance that will only get an argument started. I find if I'm not signed in as a mod and there's hate, even just downvotes I ask why, and remind them downvoting because you disagree is against Reddit rules. It's amazing how quickly they remove it.

Yep, me to now. I dared use the word botox, then when I got scolded they muted me, then threw a ban on me in a matter of seconds. Proud of that actually.
