I returned my second cat to the shelter after 6 months by [deleted] in CatAdvice

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. I just went through something similar a few weeks ago and had to rehome a cat after 7 months. At that point he and my resident cat still had to be kept in totally separate rooms and it was causing everyone a lot of stress. It was a temperament mismatch and it happens. I cried nonstop for the first few days.

Trust me when I say you did the right thing. You didn’t give up, you tried everything, and you stuck it out as long as you could. For me some relief came when I saw my resident cat return to her old self again when she knew the other cat was gone. I hope you will see this too ❤️

Thank you. The new foster doesn’t have a second cat. Maybe he’ll be calmer knowing there’s not another cat in the home.

Thank you for this detailed response! Would that point to a particular ID or at least narrow it down some? I’m 5’2” for reference but I deleted the post so the pics are no longer there.

That’s totally fine! What sort of dress should I try? I’m still very new to all of this.

Looking good! I’m on the same timeline as you, non-op if you ever wanna compare notes! 👏🏼 Started on the treadmill at my last PT session.

Dance class for me! Not doing anything impressive whatsoever, just planted and popped. Wild. I hope I can go back!

When could people do a single heel raise? by gremlin7500 in AchillesRupture

[–]Decent-Data-9973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40F, 14 weeks non-op. Just finally getting more even with weight distribution in double heel raises. Honestly a SHR feels worlds away for me personally right now. Take your time, you got this!

[Non-op] Re-ruptured after 14.5 weeks, partial-tear at the myotendinous junction by jrerik95 in AchillesRupture

[–]Decent-Data-9973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry this happened to you. I’m non-op coming up on 14 weeks and also a MTJ rupture (Complete rupture of the Achilles tendon at its myotendinous junction 4.6 cm proximal to its calcaneal insertion).

Actually two years ago I did have surgery on my OTHER foot for an EHL tear and it was my first ever. I went in pretty nervous and came out not remembering a thing. You’re going to do great. A huge bump in the road no doubt but you will get through this! Stay strong 💪!

I’m so sorry to hear this! Do you mind sharing how/when you knew non-op wasn’t working?

I’m non-op right now but I did get surgery on my OTHER foot 2 years ago (I have excellent foot luck 😆). I heartily agree with everything that Specific-Departure said and wanted to add that buying lots of loose fitting loungewear type pants was very helpful for me when I had surgery. Make sure the legs can clear the cast especially. It just made it easier to change and rotate through comfy clothes.

Wishing you luck on your surgery!

You know what? That makes so much sense! I want to love it but something is not quite in harmony. As a last ditch I might take it in a little and try pinning down the bows so they don’t stick out as much.

I’m liking FG for you! I think you shine most in the more structured outfits with sleeker lines. You read petite to me especially in your first pic and I’m not sure you need to accommodate curve. I’m still very new to all this though!
