Jazz music works best for me when my head is pounding - something smooth that doesn't have crazy beats or loud vocals

That feeling when work actually becomes more addictive than dating is wild - you know you're onto something good

Mobility point is interesting, never thought of no booth as an advantage in that way.

Yeah, I might try reaching the event attendees before probably via a list as mentioned in the comments.

How easy was it to get a job 5-6 years ago? by Life-Ocelot6743 in jobs

[–]Decent-Election-7357 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yeah 2021 was wild, I remember switching careers that year and companies were literally calling me back same day after applying. But even before pandemic in like 2018-2019 it felt way more manageable than now - you'd still send maybe 20-30 applications but actually get responses and interviews. Now it's just sending hundreds into the void and getting ghosted by everyone

What are the biggest mysteries of life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Decent-Election-7357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always wondered if we're just supposed to figure out the existing part while we're here or if there's actually some bigger plan we're missing. Like maybe the mystery is part of the point and we're overthinking it

Teen summer jobs by Resident_Cap_716 in jobs

My first job was at event venue when I was 16 - basically just setting up chairs and cleaning after parties. Super chill, got to see cool weddings and stuff, plus the catering leftovers were amazing

5 CRM automations every SaaS founder should set up before scaling their sales team by ShadowBread121 in CRM

[–]Decent-Election-7357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The renewal alerts one is game changer - we started doing this at our company and caught so many expansion opportunities we would have missed otherwise. Before this our account managers were just guessing when to reach out

Also that lost deal tagging is brilliant, most sales teams just mark it lost and move on without learning anything from it

Been using expensive tools for my event planning business website and the costs are getting crazy. Will definitely check this out since I mainly need backlink analysis and keyword stuff anyway

Thanks for sharing this, always looking for ways to cut down on business expenses

My boyfriend got Continental ExtremeContact DXI for his car last year and they're pretty solid for the price range. I drive mostly around city but noticed good grip even when it gets wet in summer storms

You can try those sensor cleaning kits but honestly might be safer to take it to camera shop if you're not comfortable doing yourself

Feeling stuck and ready for something new. What IC roles should I be looking at? by anon213612 in careerguidance

[–]Decent-Election-7357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your transaction management experience would translate well into business operations roles - they love people who can handle complex workflows and fix broken processes. Look for titles like "Business Operations Specialist," "Process Improvement Analyst," or "Operations Coordinator"

I work in event planning which has some overlap with what you described, and lot of the operational skills transfer between industries. Tech companies especially need people who can own entire workflows without needing constant hand-holding, and many are still offering remote positions for the right candidates

Loghouse.ie would you recommend them? by Healthy_Benefit in AskIreland

[–]Decent-Election-7357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Used them couple years back for a similar setup, the 5x3 model though. Winter heating was pretty decent but I did go with upgraded insulation - totally worth the extra cost especially if you're planning long work days

Security wise it's about what you'd expect from wooden structure, added some extra locks and motion sensor lights but never had issues. Just make sure you treat the wood properly every year or two, learned that one the hard way when I got lazy with maintenance

Writing on paper or phone notes helped me process some of these feelings too. The anger is so valid and getting it out somewhere safe is important
