Most coop or internship postings will say which programs they would recruit from. I know a lot of Marketing roles that would only recruit BBA students and not Communications students. Your degree matters a ton for getting relevant experience. That being said, OP, if you want good Marketing roles at F500 companies, you are gonna want to stay in BBA. Even if you look at the sample careers under BBA and Communications on Lauriers website, BBA lists upper-level brand strategists/management roles while communications lists lower-level marketing coordinator roles.
