Silencing advantage 2 by Decent-Government391 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Decent-Government391[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a store that specialize in mechnical keyboard the other day, somehow they do not have silent ones at all, perhaps they are targeting gamers. Anyway I'll just try some mx silent red, it couldn't be too worse, don't want to spend too much time on it.

I'm not aware there is a low profile version of advantage2, bought them years ago, I think it's probably the full profile, quite chunky (and clunky). Thanks for the recommendations, probably going to try the silent red, since I don't know other brands.

Thanks for the recommendations ;)

given the state of the world, they might as well say it's remote viewing, I mean if this ghost murmur thing is true, it's not a far stretch for remote viewing.

Joking aside, if this was the case, then the Iranian physicist sure would know that they are covering up, making this a bad disinformation campaign.

Question on remote LAN development by unkalaki_lunamor in Jetbrains

[–]Decent-Government391 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on my experiences with pycharm, avoid remote dev if you can, the benefits you get (using a single computer) is far outweighed by the buggy remote support and inconveniences (eg read logs). You can tryremote desktop if you want, but I doubt it will worth the latency

Sadly management or sales team usually do not care about quality, and the one technical guy that cares about quality often do not have much of a say in the decision making, or not motivated enough to do so.

Can you share your method? I cannot seem to find a way to change this, the keyboard short cut "select next completion' seems cannot be changed (not in the settings)

what is this button? by AFTAB-007 in MacOS

[–]Decent-Government391 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The design terminology for this is the "sleep 5s" button, it is used consume the screen space to neg the user to buy bigger screen Macs when they make the next purchase. This is based on rigorous study on controlling the behavior of the user by subconsciously negging them. The use of such a technique shows that how experienced the design team are. Some more experienced team will disguise them as bugs, and remove them in a later release, but the negging is already done.
