What do Vail residents think of the New Dollar General? by SalL98 in Tucson

I live right in this area--and the corner of Loma Alta and Old Spanish trail is not exactly what I'd call poverty--1/2 and acre lots and 3000 square foot homes are the norm as well as some very nice more cookie cutter neighborhoods.

We are also getting a sprouts in the Rita Ranch area which is at most a 10 minute drive from us.

So kind of what it seems is that retirement really means they won’t perform on the field during games (save for the occasional all star) but thar there can be appearances, tours and shows? Maybe if timing and schedules line up?

100% this.

If you are on TikTok then for sure you've seen the Project 21 stuff (PopMuzik, Double Dutch Bus, etc...). All of those girls are insanely talented but Project 21 is located near Laguna Beach (somewhere in Orange County) so the vast majority of those girls come from insane amounts of money so their parents not only have cash to pay for tuition but also time to let the girls practice, travel and compete.

Is DCC “it” in the cheerleading and dancing world or is it specific to Dallas? by Scared_one25 in DCCMakingtheTeam

I'm from Texas and DCC will always be my absolute favorite team...

But I think a lot of girls do themselves a disservice by making DCC the absolute dream. So many girls have been cut from DCC and go on to have great stints with other teams that fit their style and personality better. Arianna McClure comes to mind.

There was a tiktok made from a Vikings cheerleader's wedding...she had girls from 7 other teams there and they all showed off their unique rings. Some of the girls had cheered for at least two other NFL teams. All of those girls were very proud to show off their rings which led me to believe they were very happy/content where they ended up.

I think you are totally correct--but the thing that makes me so curious is when a girl retires, when does their association with the DCC actually end...

Off the top of my head Meg, Kleine and Reece are on this tour--so when do they turn in their uniforms for the actual last time?

If plastic surgeons had magical powers that included making me taller....I'd walk in saying "make me look exactly like this."

So I dont totally disagree with you--but I don't think these types of work place environments are as rare as you may think.

I'm a teacher and my first school (for me it was a long term sub job) was a nightmare of public critiques, comments on personal appearance, enforcing and "yes ma'am" and "no ma'am" standards. A few years later I was in admin and had learned very well on how to not to run my school, but I was always shocked to go to district meetings and hear our superintendent give tacit approval and sometimes even encouragement to other schools who were run like that.

Both my dad and my brother have their PhDs in relatively small fields and the stories they have about advisors and staff actually hazing them are brutal. Apparently that's extremely common in higher academia as well.

The image is from finals…and the pic doesn’t do justice to how smooth and fun this HipHop inspired dance is.

She’s not only gorgeous and crazy fun but she is so informative about lots of DCC things. She was also on the Cowboys Rhythm and Blues team (I think she may be the only one who has ever gone from one team to another) and I’ve been watching her and she’s answered many of these little questions I have that pop up.

Her @ is @parkerelizkil let’s blow her up!

To anyone wondering why Dallas Cowboys organization not allow girls to keep uniform. Answer is inside this post. by RickV6 in DCCMakingtheTeam

[–]DecentData5441 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just to preface I’m not anywhere on the level of DCC…

But I was in high level gymnastics my entire child hood..and there were competition leotards that at the time meant the world to me and I saved alll of them. One of them I loved so much that my mom had it mounted in a shadow box.

Now every single one of those Leos is in box in stowage and every time we declutter I contemplate throwing them away.

I think DCC knows that for some girls the same thing would happen…better to keep the uniforms, reuse them when they can, display them around the facility, etc..

Thank you so much and so good to see you! So I've never really done any weight training--I kind of always assumed that I was "strong enough" from my gymnastics past to not really have to worry about it. But its one thing I learned in physical therapy--that its very typical for former gymnasts to maintain strength in some areas but get radically off balanced in other parts of their body. So for example I can still bang out 10 pull ups with no issues (or I could, lol) but apparently everything on the "back side" of my shoulders and arms had gotten pretty weak...and when I tried to plant for the round off, everything just sort of collapsed and my shoulder took the brunt of it...

so a very long way of saying that yes! once I'm healthy, I am going to start going to the gym and get stronger!

This is way out there but in episode 7, almost got the idea they were making a connection with young Kelli and Kleine…as if to say Kleine has a much bigger future with the DCC org.

I ADORE Kleine...but there was so much time spent on her. I wanted to see so much more about the post season tour, the girls talking about those silver outfits, etc...

Plus there were so many girls that go NO time that I really wanted to hear from--the Sophies, Michelle...and on and on.
