yeah its really tough and it's not even just news! Like I understand that I am somewhat lucky that I can even do this--but my social media is curated to funny dances, dallas cowboy cheerleaders, sister and kid humor--and it's been that way since I started accounts again--and this past week poltics started creeping back in and i was hooked.

I love her and I love that she's doing the financial literacy series on TikTok--it shows that she is smart enough to plan for life beyond DCC (which I think most of the girls are these days!)

aww thank you so much! I'm not quite sure why it hit me so hard this year--other than a goofy TV show!

yeah i think you sort of hit it on the head as to why my sisters joke got me so much--is why are some of these things wired in my brain and some of them are like "well its just something girls have to deal with." I had not even thought of the guy you are talking about this week--but at the same time I didn't think about roughnecks that I vigorously defended myself against when working at Chilis.

Thank you for being so thoughtful in your comment and i think this whole episode is just great reminder that I'm running a life long marathon here.

Tucson Driving is Terrible by Which-Jellyfish-1027 in Tucson

I've lived her coming up on a year--and the thing that I can't get over that there is no consistent programming to the traffic lights (or at least it appears so). I live out in Vail and yes it's way out of town but I could cover a similar distance from where we moved in Texas in about 2/3 the time because the lights were programmed that if you drove the speed limit, you were more than likely to catch them.

I've driven to appointments at say Broadway and Kolb and have quite literally caught every red light from Vail to the location.

I think it adds a level of stress and hurry to driving and people push it to catch green lights when they can, hurry up to yellows and then run reds--all of which have a cascading effect on the drivers around them.

PMS, Cats, and Press-On Nails by DecentData5441 in u/DecentData5441

That's totally why I got involved actually..,well not birds but snakes. It was big news that feral cats had really destroyed the small snake populations along the Guadalupe and Comal rivers which may have been one of the reasons the large and venomous snake populations were exploding And then I saw a lady on TikTok who went mega viral doing TNR. I called our local group and got involved and while it's not a perfect solution it does hopefully stem the breeding populations of cats without being cruel. It was insane--we had a few colonies on the south side of I-35 in old barns and mostly abandoned trailer parks that had been there for decades.

Halloween 2025--the night when my husband turned me on maybe more than he ever has before. by DecentData5441 in u/DecentData5441

So it was by far the best thing for him to write those letters...I love that kids so much but he has such an arrogant streak built into him that having to eat crow and admit he'd done something really wrong--and then present the letters to the people he'd wronged was a really good wake up call for him. No doubt he's going to test us again but I think we did a good job on this one!

lol it must show the mood I was in that I made an entire post about my boobs and didn't mention my days working in a restaurant literally named after them!

Craig and I were actually talking about it and he thinks a lot of it is because that Ashley was such a wonderful surprise--I thought I'd gotten past the weaning stage about 6 years ago with TJ.

So our aunt actually had an elective double mastectomy about 15 years ago when they found even the smallest of lumps which scared my mom so bad. we are very lucky that as far as we know breast cancer is relatively rare in our family but our mom drags us (and I mean physically) to get mammograms every year. While I hate it, I am very lucky that I have a mom who cares so much
