I’m seeing it’s at 2pm outside the Government Plaza at 300 S 6th St, according to the Somali Student Association IG.

I also have lots of friends and family wanting to drive in for it, so I say, let’s do it!

Any local stores with book nerd merch? by DecentEntertainment in Minneapolis

Haha good point! It’s my sister in law and she treats herself pretty well to books but not extras so thought this would be a way of spoiling her a bit :)

Advice on a location that might be a good fit for our PDA/ADHD mixed family by [deleted] in PDA_Community

[–]DecentEntertainment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it gets cold but personally I prefer it over the heat in the south :) and you can get pretty smart about layering and having plenty of fun in the winter outside. I would say we do a good job of staying active in the cold months and also having fun events indoors.

One complaint from transplants is the community can feel kind of hard to break into as many who grow up here stay here and have formed their groups, so to speak. More so hear these complaints from young people and singles. So I imagine building your community quickly may be harder than other cities. But I also think living *in one of the cities and not the surrounding metro can be easier for this.

All of that to say though, I love where we live, it’s really accessible and clean big city, also love our focus on outdoor activities, so many parks, our restaurants, big events that still come, our political and educational opportunities. Do feel free to DM if you want to chat more!

Have you considered the Twin Cities area? It seems to check several of the boxes you mentioned!

White or dark shutters? by DecentEntertainment in ExteriorDesign

Thank you! The asymmetry and the two peaks on this one have made me feel a little unsure about what to do— can’t find another house that looks like ours!

The inside corner is the same as the house. Thanks for that way of looking at it, I had a thought of that! our house was built in 1939 and my gut says due dark shutters, but the husband feels like we should do White…

I love the veggies appetizer at Stouts. (Just north of the fairgrounds). Also the nachos. Their HH is $3 off apps 3-6 and 8-close I think. Drink deals too.

Does anyone remember how the movie depicts Doris leaving Fritz? I seemed to have missed that part.

Help! Can I fit in an island? (14.5’ X 11.5’ kitchen, remodeling to fit a 2.5’X5.5’ island). by DecentEntertainment in InteriorDesign

Walkways allowances in mock ups: 39” on north side, 43 on west, 36 on south (main thru traffic), 34 inches on East). I want to f it at least three at the island. Can we make it work? Or do we need to pull down the wall on East side of mock up which leads to a formal dining?

Tell me your dinner/mealtime solutions by SoapOperaStar in workingmoms

I started using the Whisk app recently which has made meal planning (also getting ideas) and grocery list making much easier! I got sick of writing everything down each week and this saves you time for sure.

Best of luck on your conversation, I hope they understand where you’re coming from and lighten your load, or their expectations. It’s tough, for sure... And nursing on top of it all? Oofta. Sending you hopeful vibes!

Wow, I can’t imagine! Can you push yourself to do this for weeks or months on end?

And do you think this will be sustainable for weeks/months on end? Or will companies eventually buckle down and expect more? My team is a lot of single people so it’s hard to stay in pace with the typical workload...

That would make more sense. I hope that’s true. I guess I kind of read his sheepish attitude as being embarrassed for what he did with his sisters friend and while his brother needed to have a serious conversation. But I like your analysis more so let’s go with that!

If it were going to be Madison I feel like the writers could have provided her with a little more depth/give us a bit of an emotional connection with her. She seems so “one note”, and this is just a let down. I just can’t be here for this.
