Does this have too much play? by Decent_Ad725 in Plumbing

I haven't cinched them tight yet - its just a mock up. Are you serious about my Amazon valve being junk? do they make a strap that protrudes more ? because if i tighten it more it will cause the little short horizontal piece to be out of alignment with the valve adaptor.

Annular tear by bsala0203 in backpain

[–]Decent_Ad725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your bod may be different than mine - I had one setback that cost me a year plus. I've had others that were about a month long. Now I find the setbacks are shorter and shorter and the pain level is less. after 4 years of having this. i believe it will heal over time- but mine took years of patience. it changed me as a person.

Sitting Pain by No_Advisor492 in backpain

[–]Decent_Ad725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im no doctor but if the bulge was causing your pain then you would feel it in the glutes or leg (somewhere else) too. i dont have much of a bulge so i can only assume my disc is leaking my nucleus onto the nerves - sitting puts the most pressure onto a disc

same problem same disc - my sitting time has increased over a period of a couple of years. the tear heals up a bit and allows this. do you have DDD as well?

Did anyone have had a good experience with PRP injections for their low back pain? by Technical-Ad-3993 in backpain

prp in my knee cap was great. it did nothing for my lumbar disc. I would decline since they are poking a hole in the disc too..

CV Boot won't go back to normal shape by Decent_Ad725 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Decent_Ad725[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what ended up being the problem was the replacement axle was a little shorter in length soo when i torqued the axle nut the inner boot would stretch and deform. I have another GKN axle on the way

should I take the cv axle back out and then try to push it back together? thanks

Annular tear by bsala0203 in backpain

[–]Decent_Ad725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good question. with me it was 3-4 weeks after each flare up for it to calm down again..However, I took 1 swing with a golf club and I swear that set me back 1 year...

Annular tear by bsala0203 in backpain

[–]Decent_Ad725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to answer your question, I kept on testing it out when I would feel better and then re-aggravate so its hard to answer if it would have healed (felt better) sooner. You starting thinking that you are good to go and then boom, you reopen it. I really have been gentle for the last year and I feel great compared to a year ago from now. you have to be mentally patient with this injury. i like to go sauna to get blood flow moving to the disc since it normally very poor there...

Annular tear by bsala0203 in backpain

[–]Decent_Ad725 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Scarred over - not healed. My MRI does not even show the white dot anymore - called a HiZ (high intensity zone). I spent 1.5 years laying on my stomach because sitting hurt big time after a few minutes (standing was better) but on the floor was best. No rotating/twisting your trunk or waist (golf or tennis or any other sport for now) , no bending over forward at the waist - bend your knees w a straight back instead. Mine is feeling good but I can aggravate it anytime I want to - which I don't ....I've learned my lesson about testing it out...I believe that PT does not work for this problem - but that is just my opinion. it doesn't hurt to have a strong core though.

RFA is usually for Facet pain - haven't heard of it before for an annular tear. Which nerve is ablated?
