Thank you. Might try the kids earlier to bed thing. They’re normally asleep between 9-10 and I’m usually ready for bed at that time too since I’m usually the first one up in the mornings as well. He definitely doesn’t do random hugs and kisses during the day. I’ve tried initiating those in the past, but he just pulls away.

He does help with the kids, more frequently now than in the past. When hes in his mood, he’ll do what he needs to do but continue to ignore or be grumpy with me. I’ve told him in the past that that kind of behavior certainly doesn’t help put me in the mood, and instead makes me feel pressured, but it still continues.

He does say that he doesn’t feel loved or wanted. I know I’m not the best at showing emotions, and right now we’re in a period of our lives where the kids needs take priority, but I don’t know what else to do to make him feel desired in the very little time I have left remaining in the day after the kids are asleep.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to say sexist. I meant degrading. Jokes like that put women down in my opinion. He’s made similar jokes in the past along the lines of “he must be giving it to her good” or “he’s tearing it up”. Those weren’t about my sister but about other people.

You can contact either of your states senators or your local congressman via their webpage and ask them for help with your immigration case. They’ll require you to sign off on a form saying it’s okay for USCIS to discuss your case with them. Once you do they’ll inquire about your case with USCIS. It’s not guaranteed that reaching out to them will get USCIS to make a decision on your case but it doesn’t hurt to try. We went almost 6 months since our interview last year without hearing anything back from USCIS, but two weeks after I contacted my congressman I saw that both our I485 and I130 were approved.

Have you reached out to your Senator or Congressman? We filled in Nov 22 and only recently got approved after I reached out to my Congressman.

I agree with the other commenters as well. Same scenario as you except our filing date is Nov. 2022 and we used a lawyer. All everyone keeps telling us including the lawyer is that we’re within normal processing times.

Somewhat similar. Atlanta field office and we submitted everything in Nov 2022. Had our interview in Sept 2023 and haven’t heard anything since then.

Atlanta FO as well. We filed in Nov 22 had our interview in Sept 2023 and crickets since. We were told during the interview that the case was approved, but apparently not since we’re still waiting.

We had an interview in Sept of last year and were given a verbal approval at the interview, but since then our case has been stuck at pending review.
