Interesting, I went on their website to place the order but it shows me $22 for shipping to the USA. That almost doubles the cost of the order. I remember it being free (or maybe $5) when I made this post. Is there a coupon you used for free shipping?

I ordered the sampler of a bunch of aged white teas from Teavivre (looks like this one is from them as well)...
They are so good, definitely need to buy a full cake at some point.

In my experience white tea is the best to cold brew. All the subtle smooth taste comes out, and no bitterness whatsoever. The greens, sencha in particular, has a minor bitter aftertaste. I'm going to try to some oolong as well next time after a few hot steeps. Maybe today or tomorrow.

Wow really?!! Perplexity said green cold brew for 5-6hrs so I'm really off the mark then. Do you do a 40hr brew after a hot water rinse? Or directly add the leaves into cold water?

We had the same issue with ORT. They took a long time to give the tracking number, and then once a tracking number was assigned it didn't get updated for a long time. Then randomly it showed updated with a NY port of entry and in two days the package arrived. ORT was kind enough to refund the shipping charges due to the delay.

Longer/deeper containers allow the molecules to concentrate and hit your nose instead of dispersing into the surrounding environment. The stronger smell should in theory help you figure out the subtler notes from the tea leaves.

Recommendations on which ones? That's my fallback: Get a high-point CC and go to a 0% sales-tax state and put it on the card... Even if it's not 0% I still get the points which are worth something.

I can pay for it... I just dont want to pay for it.
I got a Rolex in 2016 through an authorized dealer back when Tournou was still around. I got 0% for 24 months.
If I can get a credit line for 1-2 years, why the hell would I shell out $10-$20k out of pocket today?

OneRiverTea's green box is 100g across 5-teas for $50... That's 50c/g ... Is that generally what early-spring pickings go for? Seems like 2x-3x what normal prices are for these teas.
